According to the law, what holidays do employees have left from now until the end of 2023?

All holidays in 1 year

Pursuant to Article 112 of the 2019 Labor Code, within 1 year, employees are entitled to take leave with full pay on the following holidays and Tet:

- New Year's Day: 01 day (January 1st);

- Lunar New Year: 05 days (every year, based on actual conditions, the Prime Minister decides on specific days off);

- Victory Day: 01 day (April 30th);

- International Labor Day: 01 day (May 1st);

- National Day: 02 days (September 2 of the solar calendar and 01 day before or after; every year, based on actual conditions, the Prime Minister decides on specific days off);

- Hung King's Commemoration Day: 01 day (10th day of the 3rd lunar month).

For foreign employees working in Vietnam, in addition to the holidays and Tet holidays as prescribed above, they are also entitled to 01 traditional Tet holiday and 01 National Day of their country.

All remaining holidays in 2023

Based on the above regulations, from now until the end of 2023, workers will still have National Day holiday on September 2.

National Day holiday schedule September 2, 2023 for officials, civil servants, public employees and workers is as follows:

(1) National Day holiday schedule September 2, 2023 for cadres, civil servants and public employees

Officials, civil servants, and public employees will have the National Day holiday on September 2, 2023, from Friday, September 1, 2023 to Monday, September 4, 2023. This holiday includes 02 National Day holidays, 01 weekly day off, and 01 compensatory day off for the weekly day off.

(2) National Day holiday schedule September 2, 2023 for employees

- For employees with 1 day off per week (Sunday)

+ If the employer chooses to take Friday, September 1, 2023 off, on National Day September 2, 2023, employees will have 03 consecutive days off (from Friday, September 1, 2023 to Sunday, September 3, 2023); including 02 holidays and 01 weekly day off.

+ If the employer chooses to have Sunday, September 3, 2023 as a day off, then on National Day 2023, the employee will have 03 consecutive days off (from Saturday, September 2, 2023 to Monday, September 4, 2023); including 02 public holidays and 01 compensatory day off.

- For employees with 02 days off per week (Saturday and Sunday)

+ If the employer chooses to take Friday, September 1, 2023 off, on National Day September 2, 2023, employees will have 4 consecutive days off (from Friday, September 1, 2023 to Monday, September 4, 2023); including 2 holidays, 1 weekly day off and 1 compensatory day off.

+ If the employer chooses Sunday, September 3, 2023, the employee will have 4 consecutive days off on National Day, September 2, 2023 (from Saturday, September 2, 2023 to Tuesday, September 5, 2023); including 2 public holidays and 2 compensatory days off.
