Ho Chi Minh City adds 5 priority infrastructure projects with capital of 3,850 billion VND
Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport proposed to add priority investment in 5 projects (4 intersections, 1 inter-regional road), phase 2024 - 2030 with a total capital of 3,850 billion VND.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport has just sent Document No. 9564/SGTVT-KH to the City People's Committee proposing to add 5 projects to the investment plan for priority traffic works to be implemented in the period of 2024 - 2030.
After receiving instructions from the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and opinions from a number of People's Council delegates at the People's Council meeting in July 2024, the Department of Transport reviewed and proposed to add 5 projects (4 intersections and one inter-regional urban route) that need priority investment in the period 2024 - 2030.

The four proposed intersections include: Dien Bien Phu – Le Hong Phong – Ly Thai To – Ngo Gia Tu intersection (connecting District 3 and District 10); Nguyen Tri Phuong – Ngo Gia Tu – Nguyen Chi Thanh intersection (connecting District 5 and District 10); Nguyen Oanh – Phan Van Tri intersection (Go Vap District); National Highway 1 – Road No. 7 – Road No. 18 intersection (Binh Tan District).
All four projects have a proposed investment of 400 billion VND/intersection.
The remaining project is to upgrade and expand Nguyen Thi Tu Street connecting Binh Tan District and Binh Chanh District with a length of 2.4 km (including the construction of the final intersection with Vo Van Van Street - Vinh Loc Street) with a total investment of 2,250 billion VND.
Previously, in early July 2024, the Department of Transport proposed that in the 2024-2030 period, priority should be given to investing in 88 road projects with a total capital of VND 272,316 billion.
In particular, it is proposed to prioritize investment in 2 intersections with Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway, including the intersection at National Highway 50 (573 billion VND) and the construction of the intersection with Rung Sac road (2,400 billion VND).
In the area connecting Binh Tan and Tan Phu districts, it is proposed to build an overpass at the Bon Xa intersection with a capital of 2,400 billion VND.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City traffic management unit, the proposed intersections for priority investment are all important intersections that need to be accelerated to help solve traffic congestion.
