Experience and tradition of European Christmas in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City

Following three exciting Fairs from 2022 to present, the Delegation of the European Union to Vietnam will continue to organize the EU Christmas Fair this year on December 6 (Ho Chi Minh City) and December 14 (Hanoi). The event is an annual activity to introduce European Christmas culture, cuisine, experiences and traditions to the Vietnamese public.

Christmas in Europe is a time when the streets are lit up with lights and the crisp winter air, combined with the smell of baked goods, mulled wine and outdoor activities. Christmas is not only a festival, but also a symbol of reunion culture, where families and communities gather together to share and welcome a peaceful new year.

In particular, 2025 marks the return of the EU Christmas Fair in Ho Chi Minh City on December 6 at 257 Hoang Van Thu, Tan Son Hoa Ward. The Fair is co-organized by the German Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, promising to bring a special Christmas atmosphere in a very European space.

Besides European food and beverage stalls, craft stalls, Christmas decorations..., the fair also offers a movie screening space for children with two warm animated works Niko & the adventure to the aurora, Little Nicolas.

In Hanoi, the fair will take place from 10am to 9pm on December 14 at the Czech Embassy, ​​13 Chu Van An, Ba Dinh.

The EU Christmas Fair 2025 promises to offer a variety of booths and experiential activities for all ages, with the desire to attract a large number of young people, families and those who want to learn about European culture to participate: Gift booths: accessories, Christmas decorations, handicrafts; Cuisine: baked cookies, Gelato ice cream, pizza, tiramisu, wine, hot tea...; Experiential activities: interactive games, handicraft making area for children and families; Performing arts: music performances, DJs, choirs and art performances; Screenings of European films for children.

Continuing the humanitarian tradition from previous seasons, a portion of the profits from the EU Christmas Fair 2025 will be donated to the “Loving Leaves” Project and charity programs of the EU Alumni Network in Vietnam (EAN).

By accompanying the “Loving Leaves”, the EU Christmas Fair 2025 hopes to contribute to spreading the spirit of humanity, encouraging the community to join hands for a responsible and humane society.
