Authorities are working to fix the landslide.

Specifically, the landslide caused trains SE1 and SE20 to stop and wait. Train SE1 was carrying 138 passengers, departing from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, and stopped at Yen Trung station (Duc Tho); train SE20 was waiting for 198 passengers, departing from Da Nang to Hanoi, and stopped at Hoa Duyet station (Vu Quang).

Immediately after recording the incident, the railway industry quickly informed the trains and stations to have appropriate plans to transport passengers and goods and to deploy landslide handling work.

The railway industry mobilizes many vehicles to transport passengers on trains to ensure the route.

The railway industry has mobilized many cars to transfer 336 passengers between the two trains. Passengers on train SE1 will be transported by car to train SE20 and vice versa; passengers on train SE20 will be transferred to train SE1. The distance between the two stations Hoa Duyet and Yen Trung is 18 km.

By noon on October 30, all passengers on trains SE1 and SE20 had been transferred and continued their journey.

According to the plan, from the afternoon to the evening of October 30, the railway industry plans to transfer passengers on 4 other trains. Of which, there will be 2 trains in the afternoon of October 30 and 2 trains in the evening.

From the afternoon to the evening of October 30, the railway industry plans to transfer passengers on 4 other trains.

Regarding the landslide, the railway industry plans to use 1,000 - 1,200 m3 of rubble, contained in baskets, to move from both ends of the landslide area to the scene. However, due to the complex terrain of the landslide area, far from residential areas and near the Ngan Sau River, the recovery will face many difficulties.

Previously, as reported, at 2:00 a.m. on October 30, due to the impact of heavy rain, at Km 354+900 - Km 355+750 on the North-South railway line in the Hoa Duyet - Yen Due section, through Lien Chau village, Duc Lien commune, Vu Quang district, a serious landslide occurred.

The landslide caused hundreds of cubic meters of soil and rock on the railway track, about 50 meters long, to slide down, creating a frog-like mouth several meters wide. In some other locations, trees from the mountain slid down, flooding the railway, forcing trains passing through there to stop and wait.
