* Russia shoots down Mi-8 helicopter, intercepts missiles in DPR: On September 21, the country's Ministry of Defense stated: "Air defense systems near the settlement of Kleshcheyevka in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) shot down a Ukrainian Air Force Mi-8 helicopter." Russian air defense systems also intercepted three anti-radar missiles (HARM) along with eight missiles from the High Mobility Artillery Missile System (HIMARS).

In addition, the Russian Armed Forces (VS RF) shot down 15 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in Samoilovka and Lyubimovka in Russia; Gorlovka and Stepnoye in the DPR; Kuzemovka in the self-proclaimed Lugansk People's Republic (LPR); Chervonohirka, Lyubimovka and Ocheretovatoye in Zaporizhzhia; and Kazachy Lagerya in Kherson. * Ukraine claims to have killed the Black Sea Fleet Commander : On September 25, writing on social media, Ukrainian special forces stated: “34 officers were killed, including the Black Sea Fleet Commander. 105 others were wounded. The Russian Navy headquarters is beyond repair.” Earlier, Ukrainian forces attacked the Russian Black Sea Fleet headquarters in Crimea with Storm Shadow and Scalp long-range cruise missiles, leaving Moscow “unable to defend itself.”

On the same day, the Ukrainian Air Force announced that its air defense systems had shot down 11 out of 12 cruise missiles and all 19 Shahed UAVs deployed by Russia the previous night. Russia also retaliated with two anti-ship missiles.

Meanwhile, the governor of Kursk province (Russia), Roman Starovoyt, said that in the city of the same name, Ukrainian drone attacks damaged several residential apartments, the roof of an administrative building was damaged, and windows of an apartment building were shattered, but there were no casualties. In the past 24 hours, Kursk province and the city of Kursk have suffered at least four drone attacks.

Hungary has previously clashed with Ukraine over what Budapest considers restrictions on the rights of some 150,000 ethnic minority people in the country to use their mother tongue, particularly in education. * Karabakh leaders speak out, Russia and Turkey take new action: On September 25, Armenian leaders in the breakaway Nagorno-Karabakh region announced that all those wishing to travel to Armenia would have the opportunity. Meanwhile, according to a video broadcast on Turkish television, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in the Nakhichevan Strip in Azerbaijan, the region bordering Turkey and Iran, on September 25 to meet with his Turkish counterpart, Ilham Aliyev.
