A concerted effort to implement measures for disaster prevention and control.
In localities directly affected by the storm, Viettel Telecom has activated an emergency response plan, including:
Reinforce telecommunications infrastructure and inspect base station systems. Prepare supplies, backup power sources, and organize 24/7 emergency response. Mobilize 150 technical teams ready to assist affected provinces. Increase customer service personnel via call center to 1.5 times the normal capacity.
Proactively alert and support customers.
Viettel Telecom has sent warning messages to 2.5 million customers in affected areas, instructing them on how to disconnect electronic devices such as modems and set-top boxes to ensure safety.
At the same time, the Corporation has also prepared nearly 6,000 km of backup fiber optic cable, 237 free charging points, and mobile sales teams to ensure the rapid restoration of services after the storm.
Implementing policies to support people before Typhoon Wipha makes landfall.
Starting from the afternoon of July 20, 2025, Viettel Telecom issued a support policy for nearly 4 million customers in areas predicted to be affected by Typhoon Wipha. Specifically, this included promotions such as top-up bonuses for data usage and the introduction of suitable promotional packages to help customers maintain uninterrupted connectivity.
Viettel Telecom will continue to monitor the impact of the storm and promptly implement additional support and care policies for customers in the affected areas.
