Viettel starts construction of technology building in Da Nang with total investment of 3,000 billion VND

Viettel Da Nang Building Project in the East bank of Han River has a scale of 2 towers, each tower has 18 floors above ground and 2 basements. The construction floor area is 80,000m2, with a total investment of about 3,000 billion VND.

On July 1, the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group ( Viettel ) officially held the groundbreaking ceremony of Viettel Da Nang Building on the East bank of the Han River, Da Nang city.

The event marks a strategic step in Viettel's high-tech infrastructure development orientation in the Central region. This is also the most modern high-tech office building in Da Nang , welcoming the city to officially operate under the new government model after the merger.

Viettel Da Nang Building has a unique architecture inspired by the letter V. The project consists of two main blocks, fully integrated with functions serving research, core technology development, product testing, data center operations and is the workplace of hundreds of experts, engineers and high-tech researchers.

This will be the place to deploy key areas of telecommunications, information technology, logistics, aerospace, telecommunications electronics, artificial intelligence, network security, cloud computing... Viettel also orients the building to become an open ecosystem, supporting research cooperation, incubating solutions and developing technology human resources for the entire region.

Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Tao Duc Thang - Chairman and General Director of Viettel Group shared: "We believe that, after completion, this building will not only be an architectural work of high aesthetic value, but will become a symbol of the aspiration to conquer technology, for continuous innovation, contributing to the goal of making Da Nang City an economic , cultural, scientific and technological center reaching the regional level, side by side with the world."

In Da Nang, Viettel plans to continue implementing two other important technology projects: ALC Da Nang submarine cable landing station, expected to start construction in the third quarter of 2025 in Ngu Hanh Son ward. This is Vietnam's 6th international submarine cable, connecting many countries in the region, with a total capacity of up to 18,000 Gbps, playing a key role in digital connection infrastructure; Viettel Data Center in Hoa Khanh Industrial Park, expected to start construction in the first quarter of 2026, is the largest Uptime Tier 3 standard data center in the Central region, with a capacity of 14MW - effectively serving the digital transformation process of the region.

Viettel Da Nang Building is expected to be completed in June 2027, on the occasion of the 38th anniversary of Viettel Group's founding./.
