At the meeting, all sides agreed to assess the coordination in ensuring security and order as being in-depth, high quality, and highly effective. The sides hope that in the coming time, they will continue to promote the achievements, overcome difficulties, strengthen the special relationship between Dien Bien and the three northern provinces of Laos, and the two countries will become increasingly close and develop to new heights.

Implementing the memorandum of understanding of the 2024 Annual Talks, Dien Bien Provincial Police and the Police of 3 Northern Lao provinces exchanged and received 247 times with 120 pieces of information, valuable sources of information have helped the parties proactively ensure national security, prevent and fight crimes. In immigration management, the parties have verified and received 35 batches, over 100 cases of law violations. In particular, in the fight against, prevention and fight against crimes, the parties have coordinated to identify 19 areas, 14 key routes of complex drug problems to have measures to fight and resolve; discovered and arrested 93 cases, 165 subjects, seized nearly 20 million synthetic drug pills, 9.8 kg of heroin, 2.8 kg of powdered synthetic drugs...

The functional forces of all sides discovered 9 cases, 10 subjects of illegal manufacturing, storage, and transportation of weapons, confiscating 26 guns of various types, more than 3,000 bullets, and 10 tons of industrial explosives. Notably, Dien Bien Provincial Police organized 4 training courses to exchange experiences for 125 officers and soldiers of the Police of Northern Lao provinces on crime prevention and control, administrative management, and management of weapons and explosives; coordinated the deployment of a working group to prevent and control crimes in the Northern Lao provinces. Dien Bien Provincial Police organized the reception, care, and nurturing of 12 international students from the Northern Lao provinces, including 6 students from the 3 provinces of Phong Sa Ly, U Dom Xay and Xay Nha Bu Ly.
