The police in Duc Tho district ( Ha Tinh province) have just arrested and processed nine teenagers for driving motorcycles at high speeds, performing wheelies, and failing to obey traffic police orders.
The police in Duc Tho district are working with the suspects.
Recently, in the evenings, a group of teenagers have been gathering in Duc Tho town, riding motorcycles with license plates removed, without helmets, speeding, and performing wheelies on the town's roads. This has disrupted traffic safety and endangered residents and other road users.
In response to this situation, the Duc Tho District Police directed the Traffic Police Team, the Criminal Police Team, and other specialized teams to closely monitor the situation and implement comprehensive measures to promptly detect, prevent, and rectify the situation.
Accordingly, on the evening of June 4th, the Duc Tho police force organized patrols and surveillance in the town, combined with undercover operations, to combat illegal activities and safety hazards caused by groups of irresponsible teenagers.
At 8:45 PM on the same day, the patrol team spotted a group of individuals riding a motorcycle without license plates, not wearing helmets, carrying more passengers than allowed, and speeding on the road.
When the task force stopped them for inspection, the group of teenagers were unable to produce vehicle registration papers or driver's licenses, so they were invited to the district police station for questioning.
These individuals include: NQP - the driver (born in 2004, residing in Thanh Chuong district, Nghe An province ) carrying NMC (born in 2007, residing in Yen Thanh district, Nghe An province) and NTD (born in 2009, residing in Hoa Lac commune, Duc Tho district).
Nine individuals and four vehicles were seized and processed.
At the time of NQP's arrest, the authorities also requested three other motorcycles with similar violations to stop, but these individuals sped away.
At approximately 10 PM on the same day, the police apprehended six offenders and brought them to the station. The suspects included: D.TT (born in 2007), NAQ (born in 2008), VNN (born in 2005), TK (born in 2007), PQT (born in 2006), and HMQ (born in 2007), all from Duc Tho district.
Through questioning, the suspects confessed to their violations and stated that for several consecutive days they had gathered together, using motorcycles with license plates removed, riding without helmets, speeding, and riding on one wheel (wheelies)... to show off their "skills".
The Duc Tho District Police have issued administrative fines, temporarily seized four motorbikes, and are continuing to investigate and gather evidence to process the case according to the law.
