By September 2025, the whole province will have 1,375 agricultural cooperatives, an increase of 22 cooperatives compared to 2024, including: 543 crop cooperatives, 148 livestock cooperatives, 91 fishery cooperatives, 582 general cooperatives, and 11 forestry cooperatives.
Currently, cooperatives in the province play an important role in agricultural production and supporting services. The activities of cooperatives have shifted towards multi-sector, combining agricultural services, preliminary processing and product consumption, which has helped to strengthen internal capacity.
Many cooperatives have boldly invested in infrastructure, applied scientific and technical advances and high technology in the production and processing of agricultural products according to Vietgap and Globalgap standards... to meet export requirements, improve productivity, product quality and increase competitiveness in the market.
Over the years, the Provincial Cooperative Union has actively implemented many trade promotion activities, promoted and connected the consumption of products for cooperatives; organized many delegations to participate in fairs and large conferences inside and outside the province, thereby contributing to effectively promoting OCOP products and typical products of the province. Built and opened an area to display, introduce and consume cooperative products in the province, contributing to expanding the market, improving competitiveness, promoting the product brands of the province's cooperatives to domestic consumers and international friends.

Leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade exchanged experiences and solutions to promote international cooperation for cooperatives. |
During the 2020-2025 period, many of the province's key agricultural products such as lychee and longan have successfully conquered demanding markets such as the United States, Europe, Australia and the Middle East, playing an important role in connecting cooperatives with importers and global distribution systems.
However, the level of professionalism, access to resources and market capacity, and linkage with large enterprises and supermarkets of cooperatives are still limited due to their small and micro scale; most cooperatives have to rent or borrow office space and lack production land, making it difficult to access infrastructure support policies, loans, and mechanization support.
Currently, in the province, there are not many cooperatives with direct international cooperation activities, but mainly through state agencies and associated enterprises in production and consumption of products. According to statistics of the Provincial Cooperative Union, only 0.2% of cooperatives have import-export activities through official channels, 8% of cooperatives have import-export activities through unofficial channels, 30% of cooperatives are input suppliers for import-export enterprises.
