Dismissed deputy police chief of town for having an affair with a married woman

(Dan Tri) - The Deputy Chief of Police of Tan Chau town ( An Giang province) was dismissed after being accused of having an illicit relationship with a married woman.

On February 12, the Director of An Giang Provincial Police Department signed a decision to discipline Lieutenant Colonel Tran Tan Tai by removing him from the position of Deputy Chief of Tan Chau Town Police.

This is the latest move after Mr. Tai was accused by Mr. THD (Long Xuyen City) of having an improper relationship with Ms. NTMD (Mr. D's wife).

Previously, the Standing Committee of Tan Chau Town Party Committee announced and decided to change the disciplinary measure of Lieutenant Colonel Tran Tan Tai - Member of the Party Executive Committee of the Town Police (term 2020-2025), Deputy Head of Tan Chau Town Police - from disciplinary warning to dismissal.

According to the Standing Committee of Tan Chau City Party Committee, Mr. Tai, in his role and position, lacked self-cultivation and training, and violated ethical and lifestyle standards. This violation is serious, causing negative public opinion among cadres and party members, reducing the prestige of himself, the Party organization, and the agency and unit.
