TPO – The project to build a 1.5 km long road connecting Nguyen Van Cu Street to the resettlement area of Ngoc Thuy Ward (Long Bien District) with a total investment of 1,200 billion VND is completing the final items to open to traffic in October.

After nearly 6 years of construction, the project to build a 40m road connecting Nguyen Van Cu Street to the end of the resettlement area of Ngoc Thuy Ward (Long Bien District, Hanoi ) is gradually completing the final items to reach the finish line.

The project started in 2018 with a total investment of 1,200 billion VND, invested by Long Bien District People's Committee. Of which, more than half is for site clearance and resettlement support.

Long Bien District plans to complete the 1.5 km long, 40 m wide, 6-lane road by 2020. However, due to some problems, especially in site clearance, the project is behind schedule.

The highlight of the route is the steel overpass at the Hong Tien - Nguyen Van Cu intersection.

The main sections of the route have basically completed their main items, and people can now move from Nguyen Van Cu - Hong Tien intersection to Ngoc Thuy intersection and vice versa.

The steel overpass at the Hong Tien - Nguyen Van Cu intersection is still fenced off for construction.

The route has now basically completed items such as surface asphalt, installation of railing system, lighting, etc.

The starting point of the project intersects with Nguyen Van Cu Street (Ngoc Lam Ward, Long Bien, Hanoi). The end point of the route connects with Ngoc Thuy Street, creating a smooth traffic axis from Dong Tru Bridge through Thuong Thanh, Ngoc Thuy, Ngoc Lam, Bo De, Long Bien, Thach Ban wards connecting with Hanoi - Hai Phong highway.

The project is designed with 2 motor vehicle lanes and 2 mixed vehicle lanes.

Currently, the main work at the construction site is to complete the paving of the sidewalk at Tai Voi Lake and the end of the route at the intersection with Ngoc Thuy Street.

According to the Long Bien District Construction Investment Project Management Board, the problem of site clearance has been resolved.

The entire route is expected to be technically open to traffic on October 10 (the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital). The route will meet the travel needs of people in the surrounding area and inter-regional areas, while solving traffic congestion, connecting and developing the local economy and society.
