Da Nang temporarily suspends the construction of office buildings at district, commune and ward levels.

(NLDO) - Da Nang City will review and resolve problems related to the temporary suspension of construction projects, works, and asset purchases.

On March 6, Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, signed a document requesting the temporary suspension of procedures for implementing new construction projects, investment projects, repairing, renovating, upgrading offices, and purchasing assets of agencies, administrative units, and public service units at district, ward, and commune levels. This temporary suspension does not apply to the fields of health andeducation .

Da Nang City temporarily suspends investment procedures for building working headquarters at district, commune and ward levels.

The suspension period will last until the City People's Committee issues new instructions. Relevant agencies are responsible for preserving assets at the construction site according to regulations; at the same time, review and report on the implementation status, disbursement progress of construction works, projects, procurement estimates, and propose solutions to the Department of Finance and the Department of Construction before March 15.

Da Nang City assigned the Department of Finance to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Construction and relevant agencies and units to synthesize proposals from agencies and units to advise the City People's Committee to consider and resolve problems related to the suspension of construction projects and asset procurement according to regulations.

This temporary suspension request is implemented in accordance with the policy of the Da Nang City Party Committee on implementing Conclusion No. 127-KL/TW of the Politburo and the Central Party Secretariat to avoid waste in using the budget for investment and procurement at agencies and units implementing the policy of restructuring and streamlining the apparatus.
