Representative of the Egyptian Presidential Palace congratulates Vietnam on its 80th National Day

On September 1, at the headquarters of the Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt, Ambassador Nguyen Nam Duong received Mr. Mohamed Atef, Representative of the Egyptian Presidential Palace, who came to congratulate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Ambassador Nguyen Nam Duong received representatives of the Egyptian Presidential Palace to congratulate the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day.

Mr. Mohamed Atef respectfully conveyed President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's congratulations to the Government and People of Vietnam on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2, and congratulated Ambassador Nguyen Nam Duong on his new term in Egypt.

Mr. Atef affirmed that Vietnam and Egypt have a long-standing traditional friendship. In particular, the recent successful State visit of President Luong Cuong to Egypt was an important milestone, opening a new phase of cooperation for the two countries' relations. Mr. Atef informed that the Egyptian side is urgently carrying out the necessary work to concretize the cooperation achievements made during the visit.

For his part, moved by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's congratulations to the Government and People of Vietnam on the occasion of the important holiday of the Vietnamese nation, Ambassador Nguyen Nam Duong expressed his honor and pride to be appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Egypt - a country with a long-standing and brilliant civilization, with a traditional friendship that has been cultivated, built and developed by generations of leaders and people of the two countries over the past 60 years.

Ambassador Nguyen Nam Duong affirmed that he will closely coordinate with the Presidential Palace and relevant agencies of Egypt to implement the results of President Luong Cuong's visit, first of all, to build an Action Program to realize the framework of the Comprehensive Partnership, implement cooperation proposals, including promoting research and soon launching negotiations on the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and Egypt, in order to facilitate trade, services and investment between the two countries.

The Ambassador believes that the existing good relationship between Vietnam and Egypt, along with many similarities in politics , history and the deep affection that the people of the two countries have for each other, will continue to be a strength and a solid foundation for the development of comprehensive cooperation between the two countries in the coming time.
