Việt NamViệt Nam01/06/2024

On June 1, in My Son commune (Ninh Son), the Provincial Farmers' Association (FAA) organized an assessment of the implementation, planting, care, and harvesting after the completion of the Apple Planting Project in Nha Hui village and activities to connect the consumption of post-harvest products.

The project belongs to the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the period 2021-2025, starting implementation in September 2023, with the participation of 25 households including poor households, near-poor households, and households that have just escaped poverty in less than 36 months. The total planting area is 5 hectares with a total project cost of 3.3 billion VND. After 8 months of implementation, up to now, 20/25 households have harvested apples, with an average yield of about 1.2 tons/household. Thai Thuan Agricultural Products Company Limited has signed a contract to purchase products at a price of 12,000 VND/kg, from which all households have a stable source of income, significantly improving the economy . With the results achieved, the Provincial Farmers' Association will continue to build effective models and replicate them, contributing to shifting the economic structure, increasing income and improving the lives of Farmers' Association members, contributing to sustainable poverty reduction.
