On October 31, information from the Investigation Police Agency of Kim Dong District ( Hung Yen ) said that the unit had issued a decision to temporarily detain Nguyen Xuan Khoa (45 years old), Tran Van Ta (33 years old, both residing in Kim Dong District); Nguyen Van Sang (30 years old), Nguyen Dinh Nhat (32 years old, both residing in An Thi District, both in Hung Yen Province) to investigate the act of illegal detention.
In connection with the case, the police also detained Ho Thi Thu Huyen (22 years old, residing in An Thi district) to investigate the act of organizing illegal use of drugs.
Previously, at around 9:15 p.m. on October 26, a working group of Kim Dong District Police administratively inspected P. motel (in Tien Cau village, Hiep Cuong commune, Kim Dong district). In room 104, the working group discovered a group of young people including 4 men and 1 woman, around the room were many plastic bags containing white crystalline substances and pink tablets suspected to be drugs along with many related items.
A group of 5 suspects who illegally detained people and organized illegal drug use were brought to the police station.
At the police station, this group of people confessed that around August 2023, Mr. LAT (26 years old, residing in An Thi district) borrowed 80 million VND from Nguyen Xuan Khoa. Because Mr. T. did not repay the debt, Khoa and his friends repeatedly sought out Mr. T. to collect the debt.
T. went to Ha Long City ( Quang Ninh ) to drive a rented truck to avoid Khoa and his friend from finding him and collecting the debt. On October 26, when he received information that T. was in Ha Long City, Khoa gave his car to Nguyen Van Sang, asking Sang to find T. to collect the debt. Sang invited Nguyen Dinh Nhat, Ho Thi Thu Huyen, and Tran Van Ta to go with him.
At around 4 p.m. the same day, when he saw T. going home from work to his lodging in Yet Kieu Ward (Ha Long City), Ta told T. to get in the car. When T. got in the car, the suspects forced T. to sit in the middle of the back seat, took T.'s cell phone and took him to P. motel. Afraid of being beaten by this group, T. was forced to go with them.
When they arrived at the motel P., Sang, Huyen, Nhat and Ta rented a room and took T. inside. Here, Huyen took out the drugs she had brought for the group to use. After using them, Ta left.
At around 9:00 p.m. the same day, Khoa arrived at the motel. After Khoa arrived, Sang and Nhat used homemade electric batons to beat T. and demanded money from Khoa. At around 9:30 p.m. on October 26, the group was discovered by the inspection team.
Through forensic examination, the police determined that the white crystals and pink tablets collected in the group of young men's room were Methamphetamine, with a total weight of 7.949 grams.
The Investigation Police Agency of Kim Dong District is continuing to expand the investigation to clarify and handle the case of illegal detention and drug party.
