The National Assembly Delegation of Gia Lai province summarizes activities for the 2021

Speaking at the Conference, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Gia Lai Province Chau Ngoc Tuan emphasized that the 15th National Assembly is a special term, taking place in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, natural disasters, climate change and many international fluctuations that have deeply impacted the socio -economy. In that context, the 15th National Assembly has completed a huge amount of work, creating many important marks in legislation, supreme supervision and deciding on important issues of the country. The National Assembly Delegation of Gia Lai Province has also made every effort, demonstrating a high sense of responsibility to voters.

The summary report shows that the National Assembly Delegation of Gia Lai province contributed opinions to 199 draft laws and 51 draft resolutions - the largest number in recent terms.

The delegation flexibly deployed forms of opinion gathering, mobilizing experts, scientists, and directly affected subjects to participate in giving opinions.

Many recommendations of the Delegation have been accepted and reflected in important laws, especially those related to amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Constitution, building a two-level local government and perfecting the legal system.

In the supervision work, National Assembly deputies of Gia Lai province participated in 27 supervision delegations of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee and central agencies; and at the same time organized 25 supervision and thematic surveys in the locality.

The contents of land, site clearance compensation, grassroots health activities, renewable energy, forest protection, high-quality human resources, etc. were all approached closely by the Delegation, entering into the practical lives of people and businesses.

The questioning activities of National Assembly deputies of Gia Lai province continued to leave their mark with 60 questioning sessions at the National Assembly and meetings of the National Assembly Standing Committee, focusing on issues of social security, education, health, energy, land and policies for ethnic minorities.

The work of contacting voters and people's petitions was carried out seriously, with a high rate of resolving petitions. The delegation innovated the form of contact, increased thematic contact and contact in remote areas and ethnic minority areas; recorded many practical opinions, fully conveyed them to competent authorities for consideration.

During its term, the Delegation gave opinions on a series of major national issues, such as high-level personnel, investment policies for strategic infrastructure projects, high-speed railways, energy development, land policies, etc.

Along with professional duties, the National Assembly Delegation of Gia Lai province also carries out many social security activities, visits and supports policy families, meritorious people, and poor households during holidays, Tet and natural disasters.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc acknowledged the outstanding achievements of the Gia Lai Provincial National Assembly Delegation during its term. At the same time, he emphasized that in the context of many difficulties, the Gia Lai Provincial National Assembly Delegation has promoted the spirit of solidarity, responsibility, closely following local realities to honestly and promptly reflect the thoughts and aspirations of voters. The contributions of the Delegation not only help to improve policies and laws but also create positive changes in the socio-economic development of the province.

The Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated the scientific and innovative working methods of the Delegation, especially in law-making and thematic supervision. At the same time, he asked the Delegation to continue to improve the quality of research, proactively participate in giving comments on policies on digital transformation, green economy, renewable energy, strategic infrastructure and development of the Central Highlands. Gia Lai is facing a great opportunity to make a breakthrough. The Provincial National Assembly Delegation needs to continue to play an important role as a bridge between the Central and local levels, contributing to bringing policies into life, creating new development momentum for the province and the region, the Deputy Prime Minister stated.

Concluding the conference, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Gia Lai Province Chau Ngoc Tuan emphasized that the 2021-2026 National Assembly term is about to end with the values, lessons and achievements that will be the foundation for the new National Assembly Delegation to enter a new phase with more confidence, determination and creativity.
