The program is an annual event organized by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Thailand in Vietnam in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and localities. Through this, it aims to promote Thai products such as food, cosmetics, handicrafts, fashion, health care products, etc. to Vietnamese consumers. This year, the program takes place from July 16-20 in Hung Yen province.

Sharing on the sidelines of the event, Ms. Urawadee Sriphiromya, Ambassador of Thailand to Vietnam, said that the difference between this year's "Thailand Connection" program and the previous "Meet Thailand" events lies in the message and strategic direction that the two countries pursue. If "Meet Thailand" is simply an activity to promote and initially introduce the country and culture of Thailand, "Thailand Connection" emphasizes a deeper and more substantial connection factor, reflecting a new development step in bilateral relations after the two countries officially upgraded their relationship to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership from May 16, 2025.
According to Ambassador Urawadee, the choice of the new name “Thailand Connection” is completely consistent with the “Three Connections” Strategy that the two sides are promoting, including: connecting supply chains; connecting businesses and localities of the two countries; connecting sustainable growth strategies, green growth, and digital economy between the two countries. The Ambassador hopes that the event will contribute to promoting economic cooperation, connecting businesses of the two countries and contributing to the goal of increasing bilateral trade turnover to 25 billion USD in the coming time.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee, said that Hung Yen province currently has more than 25,000 operating enterprises, 18 industrial parks and one economic zone with a total area of over 30,000 hectares, ready to welcome foreign investors. However, the scale of Thai investment in the locality is still modest, showing that there is still a lot of room for cooperation between the two sides. He affirmed that Hung Yen province will continue to accompany and create a favorable environment for Thai enterprises to confidently expand investment and develop sustainably in the locality.
Ms. Le Thi Hong Van, Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Cultural Diplomacy (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) highly appreciated the proactive role and integration spirit of Hung Yen province. She said that Hung Yen has the potential to develop cooperation in areas such as green economy, digital economy, logistics, tourism, processing industry and high technology. The event is an opportunity for the two countries to share solutions and initiatives to remove bottlenecks in cooperation, turning challenges into driving forces towards sustainable development. She affirmed that the Vietnamese Government will continue to create a transparent and open investment environment, promote administrative reform and accompany Thai enterprises to do long-term and effective business in Vietnam.
