Successful energization of Hoang Hoa 2 110kV Transmission Line and Substation project

To commemorate the 55th anniversary of the establishment of the Northern Power Corporation (October 6, 1969 – October 6, 2024) and the 70th anniversary of the traditional day of the Electricity industry (December 21, 1954 – December 21, 2024), on October 31, the Northern Power Construction Project Management Board (BA3), in coordination with Thanh Hoa Power Company (PC Thanh Hoa), local departments and agencies, and relevant units, completed the acceptance testing and energization of the Hoang Hoa 2 110kV Transmission Line and Substation project in Thanh Hoa province.

The project is classified as a Level II, Group B energy project with a total investment of over 150 billion VND, and includes the following investment scope: 110kV Transmission Line Section: Construction of a 110kV double-circuit transmission line using ACSR-300mm2 conductors to supply power to the Hoang Hoa 2 110kV Substation in Thanh Hoa province, with a length of 10.22km; 110kV Substation Section: Construction of a new 110kV substation with 2 transformers, initially installing only one 40MVA-110/35/22kV transformer (with provision for future transformer installation).

Construct a distribution control building; install equipment, surveillance camera systems, fire protection systems, etc., according to the criteria for unmanned substations; build an information system and SCADA system connecting to the Thanh Hoa Provincial Remote Control Center, the Northern Power System Dispatch Center, and the NPC Data Center as prescribed.

Attending the acceptance and power-on ceremony were representatives from BA3, including Mr. Dang Hong Son - Deputy Director and representatives from specialized departments; from Thanh Hoa Power Company, Mr. Le Thanh Binh - Deputy Director of Thanh Hoa Power Company, along with representatives from the leadership of specialized departments of the Company and related contractors, and the Fire Prevention and Control Police.

The Hoang Hoa 2 110kV Transmission Line and Substation Project in Thanh Hoa province is a key project of significant importance, with EVNNPC as the investor and BA3 directly managing and operating the project.

The project's commissioning is of significant importance: it strengthens grid connectivity, enhances the stability and reliability of electricity supply, meets the growing demand for electricity, and improves the quality of electricity in Hoang Hoa district and surrounding areas; it is consistent with the Thanh Hoa Power Development Plan for the period 2016-2025 with consideration to 2035, which has been approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade .
