"When the water rises, the duckweed rises"
According to Dr. Trinh Thanh Huyen - Director of the International Training Institute (Academy of Finance), it is difficult to predict the benchmark scores of majors/training programs at this time. This year, the admission scores will be converted to a common score. "In general, the benchmark scores of majors and training programs related to finance, accounting, and banking may decrease compared to last year" - Dr. Trinh Thanh Huyen commented.
Although the benchmark scores may decrease, due to the “when the water rises, the duckweed rises” mechanism, if there is any decrease, it will be general. Therefore, Dr. Trinh Thanh Huyen advises candidates to refer to last year’s benchmark scores of schools to arrange the most suitable order of preferences.
Accordingly, candidates should divide their wishes into 3 groups. Group 1 is the group that wants to be admitted to the university the most but has a "difference" compared to their exam scores. Group 2 is the safe group and Group 3 is the group with lower scores compared to the exam scores to ensure the chance of being admitted to university this year.

According to Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Dao Tung - Director of the Academy of Finance, the Academy's benchmark score range may range from 22 to 28 points, not as concentrated as in 2024 (from 26.03 to 26.85 on a 30-point scale and 34.35 to 36.15 on a 40-point scale). It is forecasted that the benchmark scores of some training majors of the Academy of Finance will decrease compared to last year, the decrease may range from 3 to 4 points.
Avoid unnecessary mistakes
According to the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training , candidates can register and adjust their admission wishes (unlimited number of times) from July 16 to 5:00 p.m. on July 28. Dr. Trinh Thanh Huyen noted that when registering their admission wishes, candidates need to read the instructions carefully, refer to official documents from schools or reputable media channels to clearly understand the process.
In particular, after completing the registration of admission wishes, candidates should log out and log back in to check whether the system has recorded the wishes, to avoid errors due to the network or connection interruptions. In addition, candidates should pay attention to paying the admission fee according to the number of wishes registered. The fee payment period starts from July 29 and ends at 5:00 p.m. on August 5.

Emphasizing some common mistakes candidates make when registering their admission wishes on the System, Dr. Trinh Thanh Huyen gave an example: many candidates entered the wrong school code because the name did not match the familiar abbreviation.
“The Academy of Finance has the school code HTC. The joint training program of each party grants a Bachelor's Degree DDP with the admission code: 7340201DDP for the Finance - Banking major” - Dr. Trinh Thanh Huyen informed, at the same time noting that candidates need to carefully review the admission plan officially announced on the school's website to understand the admission code for each major and training program.
A small mistake can affect the entire registration and admission process. Therefore, Dr. Trinh Thanh Huyen advises candidates to closely follow official announcements from the Ministry of Education and Training as well as from universities to update accurate information.

In 2025, the Academy of Finance will allow candidates to use international English certificates such as IELTS Academic, TOEFL iBT, SAT for admission. These certificates will be converted to a 10-point scale to replace the high school graduation exam score in English (including candidates without an English exam score) and multiplied by the coefficient in the admission score calculation formula at the Academy. "This is a clear advantage for candidates with foreign language proficiency" - Dr. Trinh Thanh Huyen acknowledged.
In addition, with the admission method based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam, candidates with international English certificates will also have their scores converted and their English scores replaced in the admission combinations.
Dr. Trinh Thanh Huyen advised that candidates with foreign language skills and wishing to pursue finance, banking, accounting, and auditing can consider studying a joint training program in which each party grants a DDP Bachelor's Degree.
Upon graduation, students will receive 2 official degrees from the Academy of Finance and the University of Greenwich (UK). In addition, students have the opportunity to study abroad in the final year in the UK at a reasonable cost.
“This is the only program that exempts students from studying and taking 9 F subjects (from F1 to F9) in the ACCA Global certification exam system, creating a huge advantage for students pursuing professional accounting and auditing, meeting the demand for high-quality human resources for the Finance industry” – Dr. Trinh Thanh Huyen emphasized.

In 2025, the Academy of Finance plans to enroll more than 6,300 students, an increase of over 1,800 students compared to last year. Of these, 3,300 students will be enrolled in the international certificate-oriented program, 2,700 students will be enrolled in the standard program, and 320 students will be enrolled in the international joint program.
