On the afternoon of April 9th, the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association of Thanh Hoa province organized a meeting and exchange with Lao students studying in Thanh Hoa to celebrate the traditional Bunpimay New Year of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

Attending the meeting were Comrade Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, and Chairman of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association of Thanh Hoa province; representatives of the leadership of several provincial departments and agencies; and 50 Lao students representing nearly 400 Lao students currently studying in Thanh Hoa.

In a warm and friendly atmosphere, Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, and Chairwoman of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association of Thanh Hoa province, extended her best wishes to Lao students studying at universities and colleges in Thanh Hoa province on the occasion of the traditional Bunpimay New Year. She affirmed that, in harmony with the historical flow of the two countries, Thanh Hoa and Hua Phan provinces have made many contributions to the great friendship and special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos. Building on the tradition of solidarity, loyalty, and selfless international relations, and inheriting the positive results diligently cultivated by the Party Committees, governments, and people of the two provinces, Thanh Hoa and Hua Phan have strengthened cooperation in all fields, achieving many important accomplishments.
In recent years, the comprehensive cooperation between the two provinces has deepened, with regular exchanges, experience sharing, meetings, and cooperation agreements being signed. Trade, investment, infrastructure development, aid projects, and expert consulting support in areas where Thanh Hoa province has strengths continue to receive attention.
Building upon the fine traditions and close, loyal, and steadfast relationship between the two countries and two provinces, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department and Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee expressed hope and confidence that Lao students studying at universities and colleges in Thanh Hoa province will actively research and accumulate knowledge to both understand the culture, traditions, and history of their homeland, Thanh Hoa, and contribute to spreading the positive values in the traditional good relationship between the two provinces and two countries.
The comrade expressed gratitude to the Party Committee, government, and people of the Lao ethnic groups in Hua Phan province for their valuable, sincere, and loyal cooperation, coordination, and assistance throughout the past period. He hoped that in the future, Thanh Hoa and Hua Phan would further strengthen their relationship and share experiences in construction and development.

At the meeting, representatives of Lao students expressed their deep gratitude and appreciation for the attention and support from all levels and sectors in creating favorable conditions and environments for them to live and study. They also expressed their determination to strive for even better academic performance and personal development to preserve and promote the good traditional friendship between Vietnam and Laos, and between Thanh Hoa and Hua Phan provinces, working towards a sustainable future.

On this occasion, Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, and Chairwoman of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association of Thanh Hoa province, along with other delegates, presented gifts to 50 international students, helping them to have more motivation to strive during their time living and studying in Thanh Hoa.
