Coffee price on December 3: Down 4,000 VND/kg, to 107,000

The coffee market on the morning of December 3rd recorded a sharp decline, with domestic prices falling below VND110,000/kg. Robusta and Arabica prices on world exchanges also plummeted due to supply pressure.

Domestic coffee prices fell sharply

On the morning of December 3, the price of green coffee beans in key provinces in the Central Highlands region fell sharply, losing an average of VND4,000/kg compared to the previous session. Currently, the purchasing price is fluctuating between VND106,500 - VND107,000/kg.

The sharp decline in the domestic market coincided with the negative trend of world coffee prices, reflecting pressure from futures markets and increasing new crop supply in the Central Highlands.

World markets fell across the board

According to the Vietnam Commodity Exchange (MXV), coffee prices on all three major exchanges recorded a significant decrease in the morning session of December 3, showing investors' cautious sentiment due to concerns about a more abundant supply than expected.

London Exchange (ICE Europe)

Robusta coffee prices fell sharply across all terms. Specifically, the contract for delivery in January 2026 fell by $121 per ton to $4,351 per ton. Meanwhile, the contract for delivery in September 2026 also fell by $110 per ton to close at $4,055 per ton.

New York Stock Exchange (ICE US)

Arabica coffee prices also saw a sharp decline. The December 2025 contract fell 5.95 cents/lb to 405.55 cents/lb. The September 2026 contract fell 6.35 cents/lb to 331.0 cents/lb.

Brazilian Floor (B3)

Similarly, Arabica prices in Brazil also adjusted down. The contract for delivery in December 2025 lost 7.85 cents/lb , falling to 459.9 cents/lb. The contract for delivery in September 2026 decreased 8.4 cents/lb , to 399.75 cents/lb.
