On the afternoon of August 13, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training held a conference to review the pilot program "Google Digital School" and signed a memorandum of understanding with Asia Creative Education Joint Stock Company (AI Education) - a fully authorized partner of Google for Education in Vietnam.
Speaking at the conference, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran The Cuong shared that the “Google Digital School” model was conceived when the Hanoi Department of Education and Training delegation visited Google Education in Sydney, Australia. From that trip, the Department proposed bringing this model to Vietnam to create a strong shift in teaching and learning methods, so that every day at school for teachers and students is a happy, effective and exciting day.
Mr. Cuong said that the goal of the "Google Digital School" model is to create a fundamental transformation in teaching and learning methods, promoting the application of technology and artificial intelligence so that all students, even those in disadvantaged areas, can access high-quality, equal and modern education.
The "Google Digital School" model will be piloted at Xuy Xa Secondary School (Hong Son Commune) and Nguyen Huy Tuong Secondary School (Dong Anh Commune) from the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year.

Students' digital skills were significantly improved, while their creativity, self-study and teamwork skills were enhanced.
Based on the pilot results, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training and AI Education agreed to implement cooperation orientations for the 2025-2027 period. During this period, the two sides will coordinate to train 100,000 teachers according to Google's global standards, of which 30,000 teachers will be trained in artificial intelligence applications. The two sides will build a centralized data platform and replicate the "Google Digital School" model; focusing on supporting the provision of learning devices for students.

To achieve this goal, in the 2025-2026 school year, the Hanoi Education sector will focus on improving digital capacity for teachers and students; promoting investment in building smart and modern technical infrastructure and replicating digital school models, and enhancing the application of artificial intelligence.
Mr. Tim Paolini, Global Director of Key Projects at Google for Education, emphasized the long-term commitment to accompany Hanoi in its digital transformation strategy, building a smart, modern and learner-centered education system. The goal of the cooperation is to make Hanoi a global model for applying artificial intelligence in education.
