The CULTIV8 - Music is universal music night took place in Ho Chi Minh City on the evening of June 24 to introduce a series of Gen Z artists including: 24k.Right, Mason Nguyen, Huynh Cong Hieu, Ngan, The Thien, PiaLinh, KIMLONG. Among them, The Thien, the nephew of musician Trinh Cong Son, stood out.
During the set, The Thien sang Diem Xua interlude - a song that has been getting a lot of attention on social media recently. This is the "gen Z" version of Diem Xua with a vibrant electronic music style.
The Thien has appeared on several stages with this old version of Diem , investing in choreography like a "K-pop idol" and a cheerful, youthful performance style.
The Thien handles stage incidents "smoothly"
The Thien was born in 1998 and is the son of singer Trinh Vinh Trinh and the sister of musician Trinh Cong Son. His appearance at the CULTIV8 music night excited many audiences.
The Thien released his debut album Tran The at the end of 2024 and had the opportunity to perform on big stages. The two songs SAIGONTEY and Diem Xua interlude became his own hits when they ranked quite well on the charts. In addition, he also sang Tho , a song labeled 16+.

The Thien's music is very experimental, combining pop, vinahouse, electronics and traditional instruments. He aims for the role of a singer and dancer with quite complex choreography like K-pop idols.
This is also the model that many Gen Z artists are aiming for to bring more vibrant stages to the audience. In addition to singing and dancing, The Thien also interacted and handled stage incidents (dropping the microphone) quite smoothly during the concert. He told the audience "Wait a minute", "I love you" and did not let the stage die.
In March, at the Hanoi Opera House, The Thien also performed at the concert commemorating the 24th anniversary of the death of musician Trinh Cong Son. He and tlinh performed the musician's famous songs with the musical personality of Gen Z, carrying the breath of the times.
The voice of Cooking for you causes surprise
"You may not know the name PiaLinh, but I hope that after tonight you will remember this name" - PiaLinh (born in 2004) shared with the audience. She is known for singing the song Cooking for you with rapper Den - a big hit in 2023.

PiaLinh released the songs Say Yes (in collaboration with OgeNus), Dap Gap Trai Tim with the hook "Em la ke dap trai tim..." which went viral on TikTok. Thanks to Dap Gap Trai Tim , she was called by the audience to compete in Em xinh say hi but in the end she did not appear.
During CULTIV8, PiaLinh showed off her singing, dancing, and playing musical instruments. She had carefully prepared for this performance to showcase her potential to the audience.
As a long-time active name, rapper 24k.Right plays the role of ending the show. He was the runner-up of Rap Viet season 3 (the year Double2T won the championship).
That year, 24k.Right was also a "heavyweight" candidate. He is now with Def Jam Music (part of Universal Music), a company established to develop Vietnamese rap and hip-hop, along with rapper Mason Nguyen.
KIMLONG was also a surprising name in the music night. Following the alternative R&B and hip-hop music genre, he once had the song LET ME GO ranked No. 1 on the Spotify Viral Chart, or contributed his voice to the song Nguoi Viet with Ha Le, Soobin, Lil Wyun, 16 Typh.
The common point of Gen Z artists in the music night is pursuing diverse music genres and aiming for versatile performance skills.
