Hue City Tourism Association accompanies the development of the tourism industry

HNN.VN - On the evening of July 8, the Hue City Tourism Association organized a meeting to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Vietnam Tourism Industry's tradition day (July 9, 1960 - July 9, 2025). Attending the program were Mr. Ngo Yen Thi, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Secretary of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Party Committee (now Hue City). On the city's leadership side, there were Mr. Pham Duc Tien, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee; members of the City Party Committee: Nguyen Chi Tai, Vice Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee; Nguyen Thi Ai Van, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City. Also attending the program were former leaders of Thua Thien Hue Province (now Hue City) through the periods; leaders of departments, branches and sectors.

Reviewing the development of tourism in Vietnam in general and Hue in particular, Mr. Dinh Manh Thang, Vice President of the Vietnam Tourism Association and President of the Hue City Tourism Association, stated that for over 23 years since its establishment, the Hue City Tourism Association has always been a common home connecting tourism businesses in the area, playing the role of a bridge and an extended arm between tourism businesses and the government and state management agencies. The Association also accompanies and supports tourism businesses in their steady progress; participates in building policies and mechanisms, promotes cooperation, improves service quality, and creates a favorable development environment for tourism businesses…

In the coming period, the Hue City Tourism Association will continue to implement many solutions and organize many activities to accompany and contribute to the development of tourism in Hue and the whole country, with the aim of holding one event every month. The Hue City Tourism Association will coordinate with the National Tourism Administration and the Department of Tourism to organize programs and activities for the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025; participate in domestic and international tourism promotion fairs; organize tourism promotion conferences, prioritizing green tourism with a sustainable development trend; improve the quality of human resources; and encourage affiliated associations (Travel Association, Hotel Association, etc.) to implement activities to create momentum for promotion, boost flights, and expand the international tourist market…

In particular, during this year's Vu Lan Festival, the Hue City Tourism Association will preside over and coordinate with the Vietnam Buddhist Association of Hue City to organize the "Hue Vegetarian Food Week 2025," introducing, promoting, and enhancing the brand of Hue - the culinary capital.

At the meeting, the leaders of the Hue City Tourism Association expressed their deep gratitude for the attention of the city's leaders and former leaders, as well as the leaders and former leaders of Hue's tourism industry from various periods.
