Urgently conduct review of poor and near-poor households

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for reviewing poor and near-poor households in Dak Lak province for the period 2022-2025 Nguyen Thien Van has just signed a document requesting urgent review of poor and near-poor households in 2025.

Accordingly, the Head of the Committee requested the People's Committees of communes and wards to urgently complete training for the Steering Committee for reviewing poor and near-poor households, villages, hamlets, and residential groups and conduct the review immediately; the review of poor and near-poor households must be close to the actual local situation, in accordance with prescribed procedures, public and transparent.

Absolutely do not recognize households that do not meet the criteria for poor or near-poor households. Closely follow the target of reducing the poverty rate of the province in 2025 (reaching ≥3%) to determine the appropriate reduction of the poverty rate of the locality; the target of reducing the poverty rate must be specific, with a basis for striving to achieve the set targets and goals; avoid the situation of the target of reducing the poverty rate being general and lacking a basis.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment shall continue to monitor and closely follow up with localities that are still slow to inspect, guide and urge in a timely manner. Strengthen the implementation of propaganda on the review of poor and near-poor households in 2025 in various forms to raise awareness among agencies, units, localities and people. Relevant departments, branches and sectors, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee shall direct and guide the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the commune level and member organizations to organize propaganda, dissemination and supervision of the implementation of the process of reviewing poor and near-poor households; supervise the review of poor and near-poor households in 2025 in the province.

Currently, localities are reviewing poor and near-poor households in 2025 until December 14.

It is known that by the end of 2025, the poverty rate in the whole province is expected to decrease by 3% or more, to 2.08%; the poverty rate among ethnic minorities will decrease by 4% or more, to 10.06% by the end of 2025.
