Prosecuted 2 suspects causing many inter-provincial robberies

On September 1, information from the Investigation Police Agency of Van Giang District Police ( Hung Yen Province) said that this unit has just issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and issue a detention order for Pham Van Tuyen (19 years old) and Nguyen Van Giang (20 years old, both residing in Thu Sy Commune, Tien Lu District, Hung Yen Province), to investigate the act of robbery.

Previously, the Van Giang District Police Department received a report from Ms. Nguyen Thi Tra My (21 years old, residing in So Dong village, Long Hung commune, Van Giang district), that on August 25, while she was riding a motorbike in So Dong village, two young men on a motorbike without a license plate came from behind, approached her and snatched the handbag she was carrying.

According to Ms. My, inside the bag there were 2 cell phones, 1 wallet with identification papers and 1.8 million VND.

Pham Van Tuyen and Nguyen Van Giang were arrested by the police.

Immediately after receiving the report, the Van Giang District Police Department mobilized forces and deployed professional measures to verify and investigate. At 11:50 p.m. on August 27, Tuyen and Giang were arrested while they were hiding at a motel in Hung Yen City.

At the investigation agency, Tuyen and Giang admitted to the crime, stating that they had no stable jobs and lacked money to spend, so they decided to commit the robbery. In addition to the above incident, the subjects confessed to committing 5 other robberies in Kim Dong District (Hung Yen) and in Hai Duong Province.

The Investigation Police Agency of Van Giang District is continuing to consolidate the case file to handle Tuyen and Giang according to the provisions of law.
