Industrial promotion empowers rural industrial enterprises to reach further.

Industrial promotion efforts in the province have gradually proven effective, becoming an important driving force for the development of industry and small-scale handicrafts in rural areas. Many production models have received support in terms of machinery, technology transfer, and brand building, gradually creating new value, increasing income for workers, and contributing to the sustainable development of the locality.

In implementing the province's industrial promotion work, the Department of Industry and Trade has directed the Provincial Center for Industrial Promotion and Development Consulting to provide support for building technical demonstration models, transferring technology, and applying advanced machinery and scientific and technical advancements to industrial and handicraft production.

In 2024, the province supported 23 projects applying scientific and technological advancements and machinery to production in various sectors such as coffee processing, rice, dried vermicelli, noodles, rice paper, peanut oil, fish cakes, industrial wood panel production, fine art wood products, furniture; mechanical processing, construction, granite processing; loudspeakers and sound equipment; industrial garment manufacturing, etc. Simultaneously, it supported two projects to develop labels for seven typical rural industrial products at the provincial, regional, and national levels.

Through this support, the projects have proven effective. Besides modernizing machinery and equipment, they have helped businesses and production facilities change their management methods, enhance product image, meet food safety and hygiene requirements, minimize environmental pollution, meet market demands, create jobs, and increase income for workers. Simultaneously, the support from these industrial promotion projects has attracted a significant amount of matching capital from businesses and production facilities for investing in equipment to support production.

In the first six months of 2025, the Department of Industry and Trade directed the Provincial Industrial Promotion and Development Consulting Center to coordinate with relevant organizations, units, and businesses to inspect and review the list of registered projects for the first phase of the provincial industrial promotion plan; and to organize the appraisal and submission to the Provincial People's Committee for approval of support for 15 projects applying advanced machinery and equipment to production. It also continued to direct the inspection, review, and compilation of projects registering for additional funding for the second phase of the provincial industrial promotion plan to organize the appraisal and submission to the Provincial People's Committee.

Activities supporting the development of industrial and handicraft products; providing consulting services on industrial and handicraft development; communication work; and supporting the enhancement of organizational capacity for implementing industrial promotion activities have been intensified, yielding practical results.

For example, to support the development of rural industrial products, the industry and trade sector has developed plans, organized, and participated in domestic trade fairs and exhibitions such as the " Tay Ninh Province Industrial and Trade Fair, OCOP Products and Regional Specialties 2025"; and the "Trade Promotion Fair for Cooperatives in the Central and Central Highlands Regions 2025" in Binh Dinh province, aiming to create opportunities for businesses, cooperatives, and rural industrial establishments to display, introduce, and promote their product brands, expand markets, and form joint ventures and linkages in production development.

In addition, the Department of Industry and Trade also directed the Provincial Center for Industrial Promotion and Development Consulting to organize several activities such as developing and issuing a plan to promote support and consulting activities for industrial development and market promotion for rural industrial products. It also signed a cooperation plan for market promotion activities for rural industrial products in the province with the Management Board of Vincom Shophouse - Quang Tri.

Provide information on trade promotion activities in provinces and cities nationwide to businesses, cooperatives, and rural industrial establishments in the province so they can register to participate in 2025.

At the district level, in 2024, district-level industrial promotion units implemented support for 50 projects. Industrial promotion activities mainly focused on areas such as: supporting the construction of models, applying advanced machinery and equipment to production and processing; building product labels and brands; organizing and participating in trade fairs and exhibitions in the province, thereby contributing to promoting the development of industry, handicrafts, and rural occupations.

Based on the results achieved, in the coming period, the industry and trade sector will continue to promote industrial promotion activities to encourage organizations and individuals from all economic sectors to invest in the sustainable development of industrial and handicraft production.

Linking processing with the development of raw material areas will create jobs, increase income for workers, and contribute to accelerating economic growth and shifting the economic structure towards an increasing proportion of industry and services. Along with this, focus will be placed on improving the quality of surveys and developing industrial promotion projects, focusing on targeted support; supporting typical industries and products that are suitable to the potential and competitive advantages of each locality.

Implementing industrial promotion activities not only provides support for machinery and equipment but, more importantly, creates momentum to foster innovation and strengthen the resilience of local businesses in the face of fierce competition. Maximizing the effectiveness of industrial promotion is the way for the province to boost its internal resources, realize its aspiration for sustainable and modern industrial development, and empower rural industrial enterprises to continue their growth.
