Sacred responsibility to the Fatherland and the People

Major Pham Thi Thu Hien (Information Battalion, Capital Command) could not help but be moved: "During the peak days of preparation for the A80 parade, female soldiers like me often had to stand guard at night. In the quiet of the night, the sound of footsteps and the sound of walkie-talkies rang out steadily, I clearly felt the sacred responsibility on my shoulders. Every moment of guarding was not only a duty, but also a source of pride - because I was able to contribute a small part to the country's important event."

Major Pham Thi Thu Hien shared that wearing the military uniform and working day and night to ensure security and safety for the Anniversary Ceremony is a great honor that not everyone can have.

"The night shift is long, but my heart is lit up by the desire to contribute. I believe that every female soldier like me carries within herself a fire - the fire of resilience, responsibility and love for the Fatherland," Major Hien said emotionally.

Sharing the same sentiment with Major Pham Thi Thu Hien, veteran special forces soldier of the Southeast region Vu Duc Ninh expressed: "This is not only my dream but also the common aspiration of many Vietnamese people, of veterans who have gone through resistance wars. Every time we witness the parades organized by the State, we feel excited and proud when the country grows stronger day by day. Looking at the younger generations who are more talented and courageous, I am even more moved to see that in the hearts of Vietnamese people today, the love for the Fatherland is still sacred and deep. Especially, when our army marched through Ba Dinh Square, the memory of the day President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence 80 years ago seemed to come back to me."

Although over 70 years old, former Southeastern special forces soldier Vu Duc Ninh still feel the fire burning inside him, the courage of the soldier of the past is still intact. That pride cannot be fully expressed in words. The veteran only hopes that the country will develop more and more, forever maintaining the independence and peace that many generations have sacrificed to gain.

"For today's young generation, what I most desire is that they must be grateful to their ancestors, must have the responsibility to maintain peace, and join hands to build the Fatherland to become increasingly rich and strong, and steadfast in the international arena. That is my greatest dream," veteran Vu Duc Ninh expressed.

People have confidence in the future of the country

Ms. Pham Kim Quy, a former officer of the Army Drama Theater, after 32 years of wearing the military uniform, now retired, emotionally expressed: "This is the first time in my life that I stayed up all night to join the crowd attending the Anniversary, parade, and march. I have never felt the warm welcome of the people with the parades, marches, and the passionate feelings for the homeland and country. That makes me really touched and proud. I have never felt such clear happiness from the bottom of my heart. Not only me, but my family, friends, and neighbors all share the same feeling of excitement and joy before the National Day was solemnly and grandly organized, touching the emotions of every citizen".

Ms. Pham Kim Quy said that this was probably the happiest National Day celebration in her life. To have today's peace, many generations of ancestors have fallen. Today's people are honored and proud to live in peace, prosperity and happiness. The greatest thing that the Party and State bring is the solidarity and common pride of every family and every citizen on this sacred Fatherland Day.
