In recent times, many trade and service cooperatives in the province have actively implemented solutions to improve operational efficiency. These include proactively expanding membership, mobilizing capital, and investing in improving their self-production and business capabilities... in order to meet the production needs of the people.

Established in 2002 with 5 members, the Chung Nghia General Production, Service and Trade Cooperative (Ha Trung town, Ha Trung district) has now attracted and provided employment for 16 members and 50 other contract workers. The cooperative primarily produces and trades animal feed, engages in integrated farm animal husbandry; cultivates fruit trees and seedlings; and deals in veterinary medicine, gasoline, liquefied petroleum gas, and construction materials, generating revenue exceeding 50 billion VND per year.
To achieve its current level of development, the cooperative has consistently researched and grasped market trends to adapt its production and business activities to suit local conditions. Currently, the cooperative is gradually improving its operational efficiency by upgrading technology and production lines, investing in infrastructure, and expanding its scale. For example, it has leased 12,000 square meters of land to build a farm and commercial complex; constructed 2,000 square meters of stalls selling essential consumer goods to serve local residents and surrounding areas; and built and put a gas station into operation, creating more jobs and increasing income for cooperative members. The cooperative's shops and stores are well-invested, and the livestock farm is also developed in a closed-loop system; some production processes have been automated, ensuring competitiveness with other businesses in the area. Thanks to that investment, the working conditions of the cooperative members have also improved steadily, the rights of the members are always prioritized by the cooperative, and all activities are geared towards serving the production, business and economic needs of the members' households.
Having only been in operation for four years, the Vinaco Production and Trade Cooperative (Thanh Hoa City), with its young and enthusiastic management and members, has already achieved many effective and positive results. The cooperative has partnered with six OCOP (One Commune One Product) producers in the province to import over 60 products, including characteristic agricultural products from various regions, for display and introduction at the cooperative's store. From upland sticky rice and dried bamboo shoots to coastal fish sauce and various types of rice vermicelli from some lowland districts... Cooperative Director Nguyen Thi Van said: “Besides introducing products through traditional methods, the cooperative has promoted digital trade, strengthening promotion and market research through the internet. The cooperative has created its own website and Facebook, Zalo, and TikTok pages to introduce products to consumers and other suppliers. As a result, the cooperative has received many orders from provinces and cities. For example, cinnamon essential oil and rice vermicelli receive weekly shipments to markets in Hanoi, Nam Dinh , etc. This success is due to the cooperative's consistent focus on quality and its use of commercial activities as a foundation for improving its operational efficiency.”
The province currently has 124 trade and service cooperatives, most of which are small and medium-sized. Over the past period, the Provincial Cooperative Union has coordinated with local authorities to develop specific solutions to improve the quality of operations of cooperatives in general and trade and service cooperatives in particular. This includes guiding cooperatives to innovate their methods, content, and operations in a positive direction, bringing benefits in terms of both quality and economics. Simultaneously, they coordinate inspections and monitoring of cooperative activities, preventing errors and inconsistencies, and thus ensuring timely and effective solutions.
