Former leaders of Quang Nam province visited and presented gifts to Duc Phu commune

DNO - On the morning of October 21, former leaders of Quang Nam province, Nui Thanh district and officials of the Front Committee of Zone V visited the venue of the 1st Congress of the National Liberation Front Committee of the South Central Central region, at Hoc Sen, Trung Tin village, Ky Thanh commune (now Trung Hoa village, Duc Phu commune).

Attending the event were Hero of the People's Armed Forces Ho Thi Kim Thanh, former member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, former Head of the Inspection Committee of the Quang Nam - Da Nang Provincial Party Committee, former Secretary of the Nui Thanh District Party Committee; Ms. Ho Thi Thanh Lam, former member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, former Permanent Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee, former Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Nui Thanh District Party Committee, and former officials of the Front Committee of Zone V and leaders of Duc Phu commune.

The delegation listened to an introduction about the formation process and historical significance of Hoc Sen site - where nearly 60 years ago the 1st Congress of the National Liberation Front Committee of the South Central region took place, marking the spirit of solidarity and steadfast revolutionary will of the people of the Central region during the resistance war.

People's Armed Forces Hero Ho Thi Kim Thanh shared that Hoc Sen is a red address - a place that affirms the strength of solidarity and the belief in the inevitable victory of the Central revolution.

"We are moved by the changes in our homeland; at the same time, we believe that the revolutionary tradition will continue to be preserved and promoted by the young generation in the process of nation building.

"Preserving, conserving and promoting the value of revolutionary sites is a practical way to educate about tradition and foster patriotism for today's generation," said Ms. Thanh.

On this occasion, the delegation presented 32 gifts (each worth 500,000 VND and necessities) to policy families, meritorious people and poor households in Duc Phu commune.
