Core in emulation movements and new rural construction

Comrade Dinh Quang Tuyen, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, and the working delegation of the Provincial Farmers' Association visited a typical economic model of farmer members.

After the merger, the Thai Nguyen Farmers' Association now has 92 association bases (including 15 wards and 77 communes); 3,368 branches according to residential areas, 159 professional farmer branches, and 296 professional farmer groups. In recent times, the activities of the association at all levels have achieved many remarkable results.

The associations have well implemented Action Program No. 04-CTr/HNDTW dated March 8, 2024 of the Central Standing Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union and the Action Program of the Provincial Party Committee on implementing Resolution No. 46-NQ/TW dated December 20, 2023 of the Politburo on innovation and improving the quality of activities of the Vietnam Farmers' Union to meet the requirements of revolutionary tasks in the new period.

Activities to support and guide members and farmers in developing new agricultural production models, linkage and cooperation models along the value chain are focused on by all levels of the association. In the period of 2023 - 2025, all levels of the association have guided the establishment of 73 new cooperatives; 163 cooperative groups; organized and coordinated the organization of 5 classes for 500 officials and farmer members to raise awareness of the law on cooperatives and the process of establishing cooperatives.

The Association organized 2 forums "Farmers Start-up" in Ba Be commune and Bac Kan ward with more than 200 delegates participating; maintained the effective operation of 159 professional associations, 296 professional groups with 7,894 members; newly established 284 professional farmer groups and 36 professional groups.

Farmers' Associations at all levels have built 812 farmer association models participating in protecting the rural environment to respond to climate change; newly established 545 farmer self-management models on security and order; 3 farmer models participating in ensuring fire prevention and fighting safety. At the same time, propagandized and mobilized over 165,400 farmer members to participate in health insurance; nearly 11,000 farmer members to participate in voluntary social insurance.

Comrade Phan Thanh Ha, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association, chaired a meeting to deploy the association's work tasks.

Along with that, the unions at all levels proactively coordinated with the government, departments, and organizations to organize propaganda for the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; propaganda for party congresses at all levels, the 1st Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party... with 553 propaganda sessions for more than 47,510 officials and farmer members.

The movement of farmers competing in production, good business, solidarity to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty has become a bright spot in many localities. Through the movement, many typical examples of good economic performance with high income have appeared, such as: Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hai's family (Rung Van hamlet, La Bang commune) with a tea production and processing model; Mrs. Tran Thi Tuyet's family (Na Long hamlet, Dong Hy commune) with a model of producing and trading dried tea buds, supplying materials for processing and producing tea; Mr. Pham Van Long's family (Van Han hamlet, Van Han commune) with a model of planting forests and fruit trees...

In the period of 2023 - 2025, the whole province has over 308,900 households registering for the title of excellent production and business households at all levels. As a result, 110,370 households have achieved the title of excellent production and business households at all levels. In addition, high-tech agricultural economic models, cooperative models, and cooperatives owned by farmer members are increasingly numerous, making an important contribution to the cause of socio-economic development and new rural construction in Thai Nguyen.

The above achievements are the result of the efforts of cadres and farmer members in the province. In the coming time, the Provincial Farmers' Association will continue to promote the achievements, at the same time specify the contents and tasks, and direct the Associations at all levels to well implement a number of goals and tasks:

Firstly, to build a clean, strong, and effective Farmers' Association that meets the requirements of revolutionary tasks in the new period. To build a streamlined team of union officials at all levels with adequate qualities, capacity, prestige, and enthusiasm for the association's work and the farmers' movement, and to serve farmers wholeheartedly. To develop and improve the quality of members, to build and consolidate a strong association base.

Second, innovate and improve the effectiveness of propaganda, mobilization, gathering and solidarity work among farmers. Caring for the material and spiritual life of farmers is increasingly improved along with the development of the country. Enhance the capacity of farmers to master agriculture, rural areas and the private economy to meet the requirements of the digital age.

Third, continue to innovate and improve the quality of activities of the Farmers' Association; promote the movement "Farmers compete in production and business, unite to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably"; "Farmer officials and members actively participate in developing collective economy in agriculture" associated with supporting farmers to start businesses, innovate, link and cooperate along the value chain, and digital transformation.

Fourth, to build farmers who are comprehensively developed, patriotic, have a sense of ownership, and respect the law; improve their management, production, and business skills and capacity; arouse their will to be self-reliant, self-reliant, and aspire to develop agriculture effectively and sustainably, and build modern rural areas. Preserve and promote national cultural identity combined with contemporary values and protect the ecological environment.

Fifth, actively participate in Party and government building, promote the strength of the great national unity bloc. Strengthen international cooperation and people-to-people diplomacy, attract and promote resources to contribute to improving the effectiveness of association work and the farmers' movement.

With its continuous efforts, the Provincial Farmers' Association has received many noble awards. In the period of 2023 - 2025, 39 collectives and 13 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association; 342 individuals were awarded the "For the Vietnamese Farmer Class" Medal; 2 individuals were awarded the title "Farmer Scientist"; 7 farmer members were honored as "Outstanding Vietnamese Farmers"; 30 families were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Farmers' Association for their outstanding achievements in the movement "Farmers compete in production, good business, solidarity to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty" in the period of 2021-2024.

The Provincial Farmers' Association awarded certificates of merit to 167 collectives and 148 individuals with outstanding achievements in association work and farmers' movements; commended 133 collectives and 142 outstanding individuals in patriotic emulation movements, period 2020-2025.
