(Dan Tri) - Deputy General Director Nguyen Van Tho was appointed as General Director of the General Department of Customs from September 1, replacing Mr. Nguyen Van Can who retired according to the regime.
The Minister of Finance recently signed a decision to appoint Mr. Nguyen Van Tho, Deputy Director General of Customs, to the position of Director General of Customs, starting from September 1. Mr. Nguyen Van Tho was born in 1972, from Hai Duong . Before moving to the customs sector, Mr. Tho spent 12 years working in the army. Before becoming Deputy Director General of the General Department of Customs in September 2021, Mr. Tho held the position of Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel of this General Department.

From 2002 to 2014, he worked at the Anti-Smuggling Investigation Department - General Department of Customs and was appointed Deputy Director of the Anti-Smuggling Investigation Department in October 2014. In July 2018, he was appointed Director of the Personnel Department. Along with the decision to appoint the new Director General, the Ministry of Finance issued a retirement decision according to the regime for Mr. Nguyen Van Can, Director General of the General Department of Customs.
