Co.opmart and Co.op Food systems in the northern region, in localities potentially affected by Typhoon Wipha such as Hanoi , Phu Tho, Hai Phong, Thanh Hoa, and Bac Ninh, have increased their reserves of essential goods by 2-3 times compared to normal days.

The goods focused on categories such as rice, instant noodles, eggs, meat, vegetables, spices, drinking water, hygiene products, and emergency response supplies.

Saigon Co.op's distribution centers nationwide have planned transportation and regulated the timely supply of goods to Co.opmart supermarkets and Co.op Food stores in the northern region. In addition, the Bac Ninh warehouse has also replenished its inventory to ensure readiness in case of prolonged bad weather.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Dung, Director of Co.opmart Hanoi supermarket, said that 800 Co.opmart and Co.op Food outlets have become satellite warehouses, coordinating closely with the distribution center to regulate the supply of goods in a timely manner.

Supermarkets are operating smoothly, with abundant goods, and the fresh produce section is well-stocked, meeting the shopping needs of the people.

Similarly, Central Retail Vietnam Group (which owns the GO! and Tops Market chains) also stated that its supermarket system has increased the quantity of essential goods, diversified its sources of supply, and avoided supply disruptions. Prices have been maintained stable, and there are many promotional programs to support purchasing power.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Van, Director of Communications at Central Retail Vietnam, stated that Go! and Tops Market supermarkets will ensure sufficient supplies of essential food items at stable prices, eliminating concerns about shortages or price spikes.
