The Co.opmart and Co.op Food systems in the Northern region in localities that may be affected by storm Wipha such as: Hanoi , Phu Tho, Hai Phong, Thanh Hoa, Bac Ninh have increased the reserve of essential goods by 2-3 times compared to normal days.
Goods focus on rice, instant noodles, eggs, meat, vegetables, spices, drinking water, hygiene products and emergency response supplies.
Saigon Co.op distribution centers nationwide have planned to transport and regulate goods in a timely manner for the Co.opmart supermarket system and Co.op Food stores in the Northern region. In addition, at the Bac Ninh warehouse, the amount of reserve goods has also been promptly supplemented to be ready to supply in case of prolonged bad weather.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Dung, Director of Co.opmart Hanoi supermarket, said that 800 Co.opmart and Co.op Food points of sale have become satellite warehouses, closely coordinating with the distribution center to regulate goods sources in a timely manner.

Supermarkets are operating stably, goods are abundant, fresh food and vegetable areas are fully displayed, meeting people's shopping needs.
Similarly, Central Retail Vietnam Group (owner of GO!, Tops Market chains...) also said that the supermarket system increased the amount of essential goods, diversified the sources of goods, avoided supply disruptions... Selling prices were maintained stable, with many promotional programs to support purchasing power.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Van, Communications Director of Central Retail Group Vietnam, said that Go! and Tops Market supermarkets will ensure sufficient supply of essential food at stable prices, without worrying about shortages or price hikes.
