This year's U21 women's volleyball final took place as expected, with the drama reaching a climax.

U21 Italy is rated higher, with "destructive" form. But they had to go through 5 extremely tense and difficult sets against Japan.

Right from the first set, both sides created a breathtaking chase. The Asian representative at one point took the lead 12-9. Italy followed and came back to win 25-22.

In set 2, it was Japan's turn to rise up. They quickly led 3-0 and then kept the initiative. Their offense played brilliantly, defeating the tall Italian blockers. Japan won the set 25-22.

The Asian team continued to maintain their focus, taking advantage of their mental advantage to dominate set 3. This was the only set of the final where the gap between the two teams was up to 10 points, with Japan winning 25-15.

But then Italy, with their class, stood up very quickly in set 4. In which, their blockers were effective in preventing the opponent's smashes. Italy won 25-19, thereby bringing the match into a decisive set 5.

Here, the fans witnessed another chase as the two teams took turns to take the lead. But at the decisive moment, the Italian girls played better, while Japan appeared impatient.

Consecutive blocks helped Italy U21 win 15-11, thereby winning the championship. This is the second time they have won the Women's U21 Volleyball World Cup.
