The Quang Ngai Provincial Women's Union recently organized a workshop titled "Sharing experiences and knowledge on maintaining, expanding, and developing cooperatives and solutions to promote the development of cooperative and cooperative group models managed by women in the province."
Attending the workshop were representatives from various departments, agencies, localities, units, the Women's Union at all levels, and female managers of cooperatives and cooperative groups in the province.
Quang Ngai province currently has 16 cooperatives managed by women, with nearly 400 members. Of these, 145 are female members, 48 are women on the management board; 6 out of 16 cooperatives have members from ethnic minority groups.
In recent times, women's associations at all levels in Quang Ngai province have intensified their efforts in disseminating information and mobilizing members and women to participate in collective economic models, cooperatives, and production groups. They have organized activities to support women in starting businesses, promoting their products, and providing training to enhance the capacity of women involved in management at cooperatives and production groups.

At the workshop, representatives from various departments, localities, the Provincial Cooperative Union, the Women's Union at all levels, and female managers of cooperatives and cooperative groups in the province presented their experiences, knowledge, and the role of women in the development of the collective economy; and discussed solutions to promote the development of economic models and enhance women's economic empowerment in the province.
Strengthen the roles and responsibilities of departments, agencies, local Party committees and governments, relevant organizations, and women's associations at all levels in implementing the Project "Supporting cooperatives managed by women, creating jobs for female workers until 2030," and disseminating the Party's guidelines and the State's preferential policies on the development of the collective economy. Effectively utilize resources to enhance the operation of cooperatives and cooperative groups managed by women and create more jobs for female workers in the province.
In addition, delegates also participated in discussions on policies supporting finance, expertise, and professional development; mobilizing women members to participate in the collective economy; management skills for maintaining and developing cooperatives and cooperative groups; difficulties and obstacles in cooperative operations, and issues related to finding markets for cooperative products… They also proposed several solutions and future directions to contribute to improving the effectiveness of cooperative and cooperative group models managed by women in the province.
