On the evening of May 21st, the Hai Phong Department of Culture and Sports solemnly organized a Singing, Dancing, and Music Festival to celebrate the major holidays in the historical months of April and May, in response to the Hai Phong City Red Phoenix Flower Festival 2024.

The Hai Phong City Song, Dance, and Music Festival is an annual cultural event organized and maintained by the city. It provides an opportunity for communes, wards, towns, and districts to organize cultural and artistic activities that reach the people, and also serves as a comprehensive assessment of the quality of cultural and artistic activities in the localities. It creates conditions for talented individuals to contribute their skills, foster creativity in composition and performance, and contribute works of high artistic and ideological value, serving the cultural and artistic needs of the people throughout the city.
The Hai Phong City Music, Dance, and Performing Arts Festival 2024 is also an opportunity for agencies and grassroots units to promote mass cultural and artistic activities, encourage participation in performances, and discover talented amateur artists. Through this, it contributes to creating conditions for amateur performers, musicians, and composers in localities to exchange experiences, learn from each other, improve their skills, and serve the cultural and spiritual life of the people more effectively.

At the event, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports Do Thanh Binh stated: In the vibrant atmosphere of emulation to celebrate the great national and city holidays in the historic months of April and May; and in response to the Red Phoenix Flower Festival - Hai Phong 2024 with the theme "Hai Phong - Shining Bright in the Land of Heritage".
The Hai Phong City Song, Dance, and Music Festival 2024, with the participation of all 14 districts and counties, was held from the beginning of 2024. It started with An Lao District on February 24th, followed by Cat Hai District and Hai An District from the beginning of March, and concluded with Kien An District on May 13th.
The festival featured thousands of performers and over 1,000 acts. Participating units overcame all financial resource constraints to organize and implement the event in 100% of districts, counties, and communes.
Based on that, the organizing committee selected 43 outstanding performances to participate in the Hai Phong City Music, Dance and Singing Festival 2024.
The Hai Phong City Song, Dance, and Music Festival 2024, held from May 21-23, aims to widely promote the historical and cultural traditions, educate on political ideology and patriotism, awaken revolutionary heroism, foster national unity, pride, and self-reliance of the military and people of Hai Phong City. Through this, it helps to guide the aesthetic tastes and lifestyles of the public, while encouraging and motivating the people and officials of the city to strive to successfully complete political tasks and surpass the socio-economic targets set by the city.
