
On the morning of September 6th, Mr. Nguyen Tuong Anh, General Director of Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company and Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Port Association, announced that as part of the series of events celebrating the 10th Congress of the Vietnam Port Association, the association and Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company organized a gift-giving event for students and people in difficult circumstances in the Cat Hai Special Economic Zone.

At the event, the Vietnam Port Association and Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company donated 100 million VND to disadvantaged students and victims of Agent Orange/dioxin.
This includes providing support of 500,000 VND per month for one year to poor students and orphans, equivalent to 6 million VND per child. Additionally, gifts worth 2 million VND each will be given to people in difficult circumstances and victims of Agent Orange/dioxin.
This welfare gift demonstrates the social responsibility of the port operating business community; it also reflects the commitment and partnership of Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company with the government and people of the Cat Hai Special Economic Zone, where the company is implementing the international container terminal projects No. 3 and No. 4 at Lach Huyen.
Container terminals No. 3 and No. 4 at Lach Huyen, invested by Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company, were inaugurated on May 13, 2025. The terminals have a total length of 750 meters, a depth of -16 meters, and are capable of receiving 165,000 DWT (14,000 TEUs) vessels and 200,000 DWT vessels with reduced load, along with a 250-meter barge berth capable of receiving 3,000 DWT (160 TEUs) vessels, and advanced handling equipment. The project has a total investment of nearly 7,000 billion VND.
