The "For the Cause of Culture, Sports and Tourism" commemorative medal was awarded to Professor David Joseph Pierce.

On the morning of January 3, 2025, the awarding ceremony of the "For the Cause of Culture, Sports and Tourism" commemorative medal to Professor David Joseph Pierce took place at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum (VNFAM). Attending the ceremony were representatives from the Museum's Board of Directors, heads of departments, and museum staff.

At the award ceremony, on behalf of the Museum, Dr. Nguyen Anh Minh - Director of the Museum - expressed sincere gratitude to Professor David Joseph Pierce for his valuable contributions and support in designing the Museum's identity and communication products over the years. Many of his products have been applied and received positive feedback from the public. This commemorative medal "For the cause of culture, sports and tourism" is a recognition of Professor David Joseph Pierce's contributions. Director Nguyen Anh Minh hopes that in the future, Professor Pierce will continue to contribute to the development of the Museum in particular and the Vietnamese cultural sector in general.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Professor David Joseph Pierce expressed his deep gratitude and said it was a great honor to receive this commemorative medal. He said that his collaboration with the Museum had given him the opportunity to learn and exchange ideas with the Museum staff and cultural experts, both academically and practically. He looked forward to continuing his work with the Museum and would do his best to contribute to its development.
