On October 23, Quy Nhon University (Gia Lai province) announced that it had just participated in a seminar with the topic "Solutions for autonomous digital infrastructure and artificial intelligence for internal and small-scale data centers" at the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (HCMC C4IR) in the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park.
The event is not only a professional forum, but also opens a "3-house" cooperation model: State - School - Enterprise, aiming to build a "Made in Vietnam" Data Center, symbolizing the aspiration to master technology, ensure data security and promote national digital transformation.
The discussion took place in the context of TORmem Inc. (USA), a deep-tech company founded by Vietnamese-American expert Nguyen An Thao, cooperating with Quy Nhon University to deploy Vietnam's first online AI training program.
This is a practical application program, helping students not only master basic knowledge of artificial intelligence but also directly participate in AI infrastructure development and optimization projects, from system design to server operation.
More than 80 students from Quy Nhon University (QNU) connected with experts from Leap AI Technologies (USA) in cross-border interactive classes, forming the model of “AI from classroom to data center”.

Speaking at the seminar, Mr. Nguyen An Thao emphasized: “We want Vietnamese students to learn about artificial intelligence in a practical way, not only knowing how to use software but also understanding how to build and optimize AI systems. TORmem and Quy Nhon University are proving that Vietnam is completely capable of training world-class AI engineers.”
One of the major highlights of the seminar was that Quy Nhon University was selected as the pioneer unit to test the Mini Data Center system in Vietnam.
Associate Professor Dr. Doan Duc Tung - Rector of Quy Nhon University shared: "QNU is ready to pioneer with TORmem to pilot the first Mini Data Center solution in Vietnam. This is an important step in the strategy of self-reliance in digital infrastructure, human resource training and technology transfer from Silicon Valley to Vietnam."
Not only stopping at testing, QNU also aims to become a center for training, operating and distributing technology for domestic universities and businesses.
From the online AI classroom model to operating a Mini Data Center, Quy Nhon University is affirming its role as a "digital technology and knowledge hub", a place where Vietnam's innovative values converge and spread.
