Phan Boi Chau High School celebrates 45th anniversary

In September 1980, the People's Committee of Quang Nam - Da Nang province decided to establish Phan Boi Chau High School. In fact, in the first school year, the school was considered a branch of Tran Cao Van 2 High School, Tam Ky town.

From the second school year onwards, the school became independent in terms of organizational structure, stabilizing teaching and learning activities as a public high school. In September 1990, the school decided to switch to the Phan Boi Chau Secondary and High School model.

In August 1993, Phan Boi Chau Secondary School was converted into Phan Boi Chau Semi-Public High School. On September 31, 2009, according to Decision No. 2926/QD-UBND of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province, the school was converted into a public school and officially named Phan Boi Chau High School. From July 1, 2025 to present, the school is under the Department of Education and Training of Da Nang city.

Over the years, the school's teaching council has made efforts to respond to the emulation movement "Teach well, learn well" and achieved positive results. In the past 10 years, the school has had 252 students win prizes in provincial-level excellent student competitions. The average annual high school graduation rate is 95.7%; of which the 2023-2024 school year reached 100%, and the 2024-2025 school year reached 99.8%.

The school has a staff of over 80 teachers and staff. Of these, over 17% have postgraduate degrees (1 PhD and 13 masters); the number of students is over 1,200. The quality of mass education is increasingly changing positively.

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Nam Hung praised and congratulated the achievements of teachers and students of Phan Boi Chau High School in recent times; at the same time, he acknowledged the efforts to overcome difficulties, steadily move forward, affirming the position and prestige of a school with a rich tradition and achievements.

The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee suggested that in the coming time, the school needs to continue to build a team of dedicated, professional, skilled and professional teachers; promote dynamism and creativity in organizing educational activities. Along with that, focus on improving qualifications, capacity and professional ethics to meet the requirements of educational innovation; constantly improve the quality of comprehensive education, pay attention to moral education and life skills for students.

At the same time, find effective solutions to create a breakthrough in achievements in city-level excellent student competitions; strive to increase the high school graduation rate and admission rate to universities and colleges, contributing to affirming the position and prestige of the school in the city's education system.
