| Thuy Xuan ward authorities set up barricades on a flooded road. |
Mr. Dang Huu Hai, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thuy Xuan Ward, said that heavy rains in recent days have caused some areas of alley 106 Minh Mang Street (Thuy Xuan Ward) to be flooded. At these locations, the local authorities have put up warning lines, but taxi drivers were complacent and not familiar with the road, so they entered this area.
Upon receiving the news, the People's Committee of Thuy Xuan Ward mobilized forces and coordinated with the 0 Dong Rescue Team to search and assist in recovering the vehicle. However, as of 2:30 a.m. on October 24, the vehicle had not yet been found. The search is currently continuing. Fortunately, there were no passengers on the vehicle when the incident occurred and the driver was safe.
Regarding the above incident, Chairman of Thuy Xuan Ward People's Committee Dang Huu Hai said that he will continue to direct the functional forces to regularly check flooded areas to strengthen barrier measures, preventing people from moving when the water is deep and flowing fast. Thuy Xuan Ward People's Committee also issued a warning, advising people to absolutely not cross areas that have been barricaded and warned of danger. At the same time, strictly follow the instructions of the functional forces.
Not only in Thuy Xuan ward, heavy rains lasting from October 22 until now have caused flooding in many localities; hundreds of traffic points have been cut off in localities such as: An Cuu ward, Thanh Thuy ward, Quang Dien commune, Phu Vang commune... People's Committees of wards and communes have coordinated with functional forces to set up barriers to warn and prevent vehicles from moving.

Ms. Hoang Thi Nhu Thanh, Chairman of An Cuu Ward People's Committee, said that due to heavy rain, many roads in An Cuu Ward were flooded from 0.5 to 1 meter deep. Some steep hill areas, overflow culverts in An Tay area, and Nam Huong River canal were flooded locally, with fast flowing water. The locality mobilized forces to guard at key points; organized propaganda, instructed people to proactively prevent and fight against floods; at the same time, pulled up barriers, hung warning ropes, and did not let people go through dangerous areas (about 15 points).
According to Hue City Police, heavy rains will continue in the coming days, making the flood situation in Hue City more complicated. People should limit going out during heavy rains and deep floods; and follow the instructions of the authorities. When encountering obstacles or dangers, immediately notify the local authorities or the nearest police station for timely support.
