Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee has a new Chairman

On November 11, the People's Council of Ca Mau province, term X, 2021 - 2026, held its 16th session (special session). The People's Council unanimously elected Mr. Pham Thanh Ngai, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province.

At this session, the Provincial People's Council passed a Resolution to dismiss Mr. Huynh Quoc Viet from his duties as a Provincial People's Council delegate and from his position as Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province for the 2021-2026 term.

Previously, on July 10, 2024, the Politburo issued a decision to transfer and assign Mr. Huynh Quoc Viet to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Secretary of Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Tien Hai presented flowers to congratulate the new Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee Pham Thanh Ngai.

Also at the meeting, 100% of delegates attending the meeting unanimously elected Mr. Pham Thanh Ngai, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province for the 2021-2026 term.

Mr. Pham Thanh Ngai, born on August 20, 1971, hometown: Luong The Tran commune, Cai Nuoc district (Ca Mau). Qualifications: Master of Economic Law; Bachelor of Law; Senior Political Theory - Administration; State Management, Senior Expert Program.

Mr. Pham Thanh Ngai has held the following positions: Member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tran Van Thoi District; Deputy Chief of Office, Chief of Office of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee; Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Nam Can District Party Committee; Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Ca Mau City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

From September 2021 to present, Mr. Pham Thanh Ngai has held the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; delegate of the 10th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026.

New Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee Pham Thanh Ngai delivered a speech accepting the assignment.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Pham Thanh Ngai, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, thanked the Provincial Party Committee for their trust in introducing him and the Provincial People's Council for their trust. This is both an honor and a great responsibility.

“The People's Committee of Ca Mau province for the 2021-2026 term has gone 2/3 of the way with mixed advantages and difficulties. In particular, there is an internal solidarity, spreading to the people, creating unanimity and consensus to implement policies and guidelines in the locality. From there, overcoming difficulties and challenges, especially the Covid-19 pandemic, gradually recovering the economy and stabilizing people's lives," Mr. Ngai shared.

The new Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province said that from now until the end of the term, there is still little time but there are still many tasks and many difficulties and challenges. The People's Committee of the province will continue to improve its leadership and management capacity, focus on leading and directing the removal of difficulties, bottlenecks, key tasks, and key projects that have been pointed out.
