Vinh Phuc awards prizes for writing contest on armed forces and revolutionary war

(CLO) On the afternoon of December 18, 2024, the Vinh Phuc Provincial Journalists Association coordinated with the Vinh Phuc Provincial Military Command to organize the award ceremony of the Journalism Contest with the theme "Armed Forces and Revolutionary War" in Vinh Phuc province.


Speaking at the Award Ceremony, comrade Nguyen Dinh Bang, Chairman of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Journalists Association, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Contest affirmed: Implementing Plan No. 17/KH-UBND of Vinh Phuc province on organizing activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024), the Provincial Journalists Association issued a Plan and organized the launch of the Press Contest with the theme "Armed Forces and Revolutionary War" of Vinh Phuc province.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Bui Huy Vinh, Deputy Commander of Military Region 2 Nguyen Van Xuan, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Nguyen Tuan Khanh awarded A prizes to the winning authors and groups of authors.

This is one of a series of propaganda activities on the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day in the province. With a high influence, after nearly 1 year of launching, the Press Contest with the theme "Armed Forces and Revolutionary War" in Vinh Phuc province received the attention, response and enthusiastic participation of journalist members, collaborators of press agencies and journalists of the province, central newspapers and magazines residing in Vinh Phuc. The contest was very successful, highly appreciated by Military Region 2.

The press contest with the theme “Armed forces and revolutionary war” in Vinh Phuc province received more than 150 entries in 5 types of press: print, electronic, television, radio and press photos. After the preliminary round, 68 works entered the final round.

According to the evaluation of the Organizing Committee of the Contest, most of the works closely followed the theme, widely propagating the history and tradition of the armed forces, the revolutionary struggle movement of the Party and the people of all ethnic groups in the province over the past 80 years; and achievements after 35 years of implementing the National Defense Day.

Propagating movements, emulation campaigns, good, creative, effective practices, experiences of localities, units, advanced models, typical examples, typical collectives and individuals with achievements in training and combat readiness, contributing to the cause of army building, strengthening national defense and protecting the Fatherland in the province.

Typical works include: "Vinh Phuc builds a solid defense zone" by the group of authors Kim Lien - Van Hai - Thanh Tung, "Portrait of a hero" by journalist Tuyet Minh, "Uncle Ho's soldiers - Cultural beauty of the Ho Chi Minh era" by journalist Phuong Loan, "Vinh Phuc female military doctors participate in United Nations peacekeeping " by journalist Hoang Cuc, "Imprints of Uncle Ho's soldiers in peacetime" by the group of authors Duong Ha - Phan Ha...

At the Award Ceremony, 31 best works of authors and groups of authors from 5 types of journalism participating in the Contest were honored, including 5 A prizes, 5 B prizes, 8 C prizes, and 13 Encouragement prizes.
