Nui Thanh Commune develops seaport and logistics

In Nui Thanh commune, the Tam Quang fishing port logistics and seafood trade service area has been invested on a large scale in the region, creating many jobs for people, quickly connecting from the fishing and farming chain to the place of consumption, contributing to increasing the value of the local seafood industry.

The Chu Lai - Truong Hai port, logistics, and free trade zone, invested in and put into operation by Thaco since 2014, currently has an occupancy rate of 47% and the capacity to receive ships up to 20,000 DWT.

Since its commissioning, Chu Lai - Truong Hai port has played a crucial role as a logistics hub for the Central and Central Highlands regions; it has experienced an average annual growth of 25%, reaching its designed capacity of 4 million tons per year since 2023.

The An Hoa fishing boat shelter in Dong An village, Nui Thanh commune, has been upgraded with an investment of over 3 billion VND, now accommodating 30 boats. The fishing boat shelter in Phuoc Loc village, Nui Thanh commune, has also been upgraded with an investment of 2 billion VND, now accommodating 50 boats, creating favorable conditions for local and neighboring fishing boats to anchor and take shelter from storms.
