Review regulations on the highest military rank for general officers of the Ministry of National Defense

The Draft Resolution on the highest military rank for a number of positions and titles of officers at the rank of general under the Ministry of National Defense according to the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army will be considered by the National Assembly Standing Committee at the 33rd session.

The Government's socio -economic and financial-budgetary reports will be reviewed and commented on by the National Assembly Standing Committee at the 33rd session.

According to the scheduled program, the 33rd session of the National Assembly Standing Committee (NASC) will open on May 13 and last for 3 days.

On the first working day of the session, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly will give opinions on the supplementary assessment report on the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development tasks and the state budget in 2023; the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and the state budget in the first months of 2024. The allocation of the medium-term public investment plan of the state budget for the period 2021-2025 and the capital plan for 2024 for tasks and projects using the increased revenue of the central budget in 2022 that have completed investment procedures is also on the agenda. In the afternoon of the same day, the National Assembly's standing body will give opinions on the national marine spatial planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.

In the legislative work, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly will consider and discuss the draft Law on Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue; the draft Resolution amending and supplementing Resolution No. 119/2020/QH14 of the National Assembly on piloting the organization of an urban government model and a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Da Nang city; the draft Resolution of the National Assembly on piloting the addition of a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Nghe An province; the draft Resolution of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on the highest military rank for a number of positions and titles of officers who are generals under the Ministry of National Defense according to the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army.

In addition, the National Assembly's standing body also considered a number of contents related to the settlement and response to voters' petitions; synthesized opinions and petitions of voters and people sent to the 7th session; gave opinions on the preparation for the 7th session of the 15th National Assembly and summarized the 7th extraordinary session of the 15th National Assembly...

The Standing Committee of the National Assembly will comment on a number of other important issues in writing, including the Government's report summarizing the implementation of Resolution No. 43/2022/QH15 dated January 11, 2022 of the National Assembly on fiscal and monetary policies.
