In recent times, Cam Lo district has actively directed relevant departments and localities to strengthen propaganda and mobilization efforts to encourage households engaged in livestock farming to relocate and cease livestock farming activities in areas where farming is prohibited, in accordance with Resolution 160/2021/NQ-HĐND dated December 9, 2021, of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Council. However, the relocation and cessation of livestock farming activities have faced many difficulties, and no cases have yet been implemented according to the plan.

According to the report from the District People's Committee, the total number of households still engaged in livestock farming in prohibited areas within the district is 39, including: 14 households raising buffalo and cattle; 18 households raising pigs; 2 households raising deer; 2 households raising swiftlets; and 3 households engaged in mixed livestock farming .
Reportedly, these households have unanimously agreed to the policy of relocating or ceasing livestock farming activities in the prohibited area and have signed a commitment to comply.
