On January 19, An Giang province held a ceremony to announce Decision No. 1369/QD-TTg dated November 15, 2023 of the Prime Minister on planning An Giang province for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050.

Mr. Le Hong Quang, Secretary of An Giang Provincial Party Committee, spoke at the announcement ceremony of the decision on planning for An Giang province for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050.

According to the decision, by 2030, An Giang will be a fairly developed province in the Mekong Delta region, with a dynamic, harmonious and sustainable economic development; a center for research and development of varieties and production of high-tech agriculture, aquaculture and medicinal herbs; a center for eco-tourism in the region; a hub for trade and cooperation with the Kingdom of Cambodia... By 2050, An Giang will be a comprehensively developed, modern, civilized, ecological and sustainable province.

Leaders of the Ministry of Planning and Investment presented the Prime Minister 's approval decision on the planning of An Giang province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, to Mr. Le Van Phuoc, Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee (right).

In particular, development breakthroughs are to build policy mechanisms to attract resources and domestic and foreign investors in the fields of high-tech agriculture, food processing industry, services, tourism, logistics and digital transformation. Focus on mobilizing maximum resources to invest in building synchronous and modern infrastructure, especially transport infrastructure and promoting the development of economic corridors... Promote administrative reform, focusing on administrative reform, improving the investment environment, developing high-quality human resources, attracting training, employing and rewarding talents to meet the requirements of rapid and sustainable development of the province.

Mr. Le Hong Quang, Secretary of An Giang Provincial Party Committee, said: "An Giang is a province at the headwaters of the Mekong River, with a border of more than 100 km, with great potential for agricultural, trade, tourism development, especially border trade economy... The planning of An Giang province announced today is just the beginning. However, the implementation journey is very long, with very big goals. Besides favorable factors, there will be many difficulties and challenges. I call on all levels, sectors, the entire political system, businesses and people of all ethnic groups in An Giang to unite, make efforts and determination; join hands to successfully implement the development goals of An Giang province according to the provincial planning approved by the Prime Minister; build An Giang - the homeland of President Ton Duc Thang to become increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized".

On this occasion, the People's Committee of An Giang province awarded investment cooperation agreements to 9 enterprises inside and outside the province.
