On the morning of October 17th, at the Pham Thi Tran Theater, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Women's Union held a conference to commend outstanding women in the 2023-2024 period.
This is a meaningful activity to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the implementation of President Ho Chi Minh 's Testament, the 65th anniversary of Uncle Ho's visit to Ninh Binh (1959-2024), the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2024) and Vietnamese Women's Day on October 20.
Attending the commendation conference were comrades: Pham Quang Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Do Viet Anh, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department. Also present were leaders of provincial departments, agencies, the Fatherland Front, and political and social organizations; leaders of district and city Party committees, and the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies and Enterprises Bloc.
Notably, the conference was attended by 143 delegates who are exemplary women with outstanding achievements in patriotic emulation movements, campaigns, and tasks of the Women's Union during the 2023-2024 period.
In her opening remarks at the conference, Comrade Dao Thi Hoa, Provincial Party Committee member and President of the Ninh Binh Provincial Women's Union, emphasized: Following President Ho Chi Minh's teachings, in recent years, Ninh Binh women have upheld the tradition of "Three Responsibilities" (referring to women's duties and responsibilities), demonstrating solidarity, exemplary conduct, and good adherence to the Party's guidelines and policies, as well as the State's laws and regulations; enthusiastically participating in patriotic emulation movements, contributing to the fulfillment of the local political tasks. These include the emulation movement "Building the modern Ninh Binh woman," the campaign "Building a family with 5 no's and 3 clean's," the emulation movement "The whole country joins forces to build new rural areas," and the "Skilled mass mobilization" emulation movement, all linked to studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style, and closely adhering to the annual work themes of the Central Women's Union and the Provincial Party Committee. The launching, implementation, and organization of emulation movements and campaigns must be systematic, innovative, and scientific, creating a vibrant atmosphere of competition among women of all social strata.
From these movements and campaigns, many effective and innovative models, exemplary practices, and approaches have emerged in various fields, making positive contributions to achieving the province's socio-economic development goals and improving the quality of life for women and the people.
Notably, the Women's Union at all levels has built 595 projects and initiatives, and 507 "effective mass mobilization" models in various fields; supported over 1,000 women in starting businesses; advised on the establishment of 13 cooperatives and associations managed by women; and helped over 1,000 poor and near-poor women's households rise out of poverty sustainably and improve their quality of life. The Women's Union at all levels continues to maintain and expand the "Clean House, Beautiful Garden" movement in 323 branches; planted 173 km of "Women's Tree-lined and Flower-lined Roads" and "Model Roads"; and guided and supported 205 branches in 72 communes in collecting, sorting, and processing household waste using indigenous probiotics…
In addition, the Women's Union at all levels has done a good job in participating in building a stronger Party, government, and political system. The activities of building the Women's Union organization have been significantly improved; the province has 344 "branches attracting 100% of women of eligible age to participate in the Union," 94% of the Union's branches attract at least 80% of women aged 18 and above residing in the area to participate in the Union, and the membership rate for the entire province reached 86.9%.
Following the opening remarks, delegates watched a television documentary titled "Building the Modern Ninh Binh Woman" and listened to presentations from exemplary female officials and members, clarifying the achievements and results obtained in implementing patriotic emulation movements in the locality.
At the conference, 143 female officials and members were awarded Certificates of Commendation by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in the province's emulation movements during the 2023-2024 period in the following areas: economic development; participation in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas; building happy families; humanitarian and charitable activities; and building the Women's Union.
These women are truly the vibrant flowers of the women's movement, the pioneering force, the core nucleus, and shining examples that inspire and motivate the women's movement and the activities of the Women's Union to make even greater strides in the future.
