Binh Thuan: A police officer died while on duty

While patrolling and controlling to ensure traffic order and safety during the Lunar New Year 2024 in Binh Thuan province, a soldier of the Mobile Police Regiment under the Mobile Police Command of the Ministry of Public Security had an accident and died.

On February 14, information from Binh Thuan Provincial Police said that in the early morning of the same day, while performing his duty, a police lieutenant of the Mobile Police Regiment under the Mobile Police Command of the Ministry of Public Security had an accident and died.

Specifically, implementing the peak plan to strengthen patrol work to ensure traffic order and safety before, during and after the Lunar New Year, on February 14, the Traffic Police Department of Binh Thuan Province Police assigned a working group to patrol and control on National Highway 1A, the section passing through Ham Tan district.

Binh Thuan police force launched to carry out duties

At 5:42 a.m. the same day, at Km 1767+800 National Highway 1A, in village 2, Tan Duc commune, Ham Tan district (Binh Thuan province), Lieutenant T.D.L. (police officer of Duc Linh district, Binh Thuan province) was reinforcing the Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Police, driving a patrol car, with Lieutenant PTP (officer of the Mobile Police Regiment under the Mobile Police Command of the Ministry of Public Security, reinforcing the Traffic Police Department of Binh Thuan Police), suddenly crashed into a concrete pillar on the side of the road and plunged into a ditch.

The incident resulted in both soldiers being injured and taken to Ham Tan District Medical Center for emergency treatment. However, due to the severity of his injuries, Lieutenant PTP did not survive.

Leaders of Binh Thuan Provincial Police were present at the scene in time to direct the handling of the incident.
